Revisiting the magic of K'Nex
Using LDraw, MLcad, and an available K'Nex parts library I have drawn up a virtual version of my K'Nex Xbox 360 Controller shelf (for fun, as I wanted to see if I could do it). Yes, I used Lego software to build K'Nex. Hopefully, I don't get sued or my head doesn't just explode randomly. ...Actually, I hope that last part every day.
- The original story is located here: The magic of K'Nex – HoC style
This is Version 1.1 modified with a wider bottom shelf. Two screws through the black circular K'Nex connector 8's hold the shelf solidly onto the wall.
Please note that the colours are the closest approximates and the original is no where near as bright.
- The fluorescent green connectors are a dark metallic green;
the florescent green rods are a dark green;
the tan parts are a metallic bronze;
and the bright blue parts are a dark blue.
It still holds three wireless controllers securely with easy access and has two small shelves for battery storage. The small top shelve holds AAA and AA rechargeable batteries. The bottom wider shelf holds my Xbox controller rechargeable batteries and my headset adapter. My Xbox wireless headset hangs off the bottom rod at the side of the shelf.
Remember K'Nex is modular and I can always add to it.
Here is a K'Nex parts list generated by MLcad with everything you need to build your own.
Or for the lazier clan members, if you provide me with a reasonably sized K'Nex kit in trade I will build you one to your specifications (number of controllers and shelfs).

I have no K'Nex at all?
...that you would buy "a reasonably sized K'Nex kit."
Not dig one out of storage...
My XBox Game Manager, graciously given to me by Coxxorz, combined with my bookshelf, are adequate.
And you really, really need a new hobby.
