Xbox Media Center now on Mac

LifeHacker reports that the Unix Xbox Media Center (XBMC) has been ported over to OSX.

Version 0.1 so you know it has to be stable!

Is this to replace Windows Media Center that runs on Vista, or is this a Windows Media Extender like the one that runs on Xbox 360 ?

If it is a Media Center, can it send data to a Windows Media Extender running on Xbox 360 ?

Is that this is a media extender that installs on a Mac that will talk to a Media center on Vista, just like the one that is installed on an X-Box. You need to have a Media Center equiped PC on the network somewhere.

Doesn't there have to be software on the Xbox itself to run this? Or even a mod if some kind?
