Not the expected fiasco
And now for some toilet humour
So our downstairs toilet has be dripping, running, and constantly making noise pretty much since Stormblade lived here. Maybe not quite that long but a long time.
Today we decided to do something about it and after one quick trip to Home Depot had a Complete Toilet Tank Repair kit in hand for $24.99.
And yes, after the Kitchen Sink incident we also expected a complete fiasco.
Sadly, we were all disappointed. With barely a look at the instructions the leaking toilet tank kit was removed and replaced in less than an hour. Rolly still hasn't woken up from his nap and has left me some gaming time. Not much but some.
It is nice to be able to sit and ponder in silence. Plus the running water kept making me want to pee. Which when you think about it, was kind of convienent.
It went so well, in fact, that I am thinking of fixing the upstairs toilet as well and there isn't a thing wrong with it.

Emboldened by my recent bathroom renovation work, I finally got around the last finishing touch of replacing our aging tub faucet with a fancy new one. Apparently the "American Standard" comes from a country where the hot and cold water supply lines come in from the sides, not the bottom.
Long story short: It's been a month now with the old fixtures loosely re-attached, and a gaping hole in the wall... while I fruitlessly comb the city for the apparently non-existent key to this puzzle: something to connect 2 compression fittings together.
