It was all funny except the comparison to Steam, which is apples & oranges as far as I'm concerned.
Plus they still haven't addressed the mandatory webcam, and what about the whole online pass thing?
Not buying it, M$.
I think the damage has been done.
Of course Sony could also release an update doing the same stuff eventually.
If they wanted to become the new "bad guy", and make MS look good. But they're not going to ruin this gift they've just been handed.
Funny Story: Tried to explain the problem with "mandatory Kinect" + "always on" to Snuffy for like 5 minutes today. I knew he finally got it when his eyes suddenly got wide with panic. Now I'm afraid to know what horrors he gets up to while playing on Xbox Live.
