Black Ops 2: Origins
Level 24 reached
Not survived, mind you, but reached.
And did we ever do a lot. The newest Zombie map for Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Origins, is full of challenges and secrets. We finished a ton of them and got burned doing more...
- Obtained all the parts: wands, records, gramophone, Zombie shield, Maxis drone, all of them.
- Activated all six generators
- watched SeanMCR do a move so boneheaded it made Graybush's swapping put monkey bombs for molotovs (twice in one map) look like genius
- opened the crypt
- built all four staffs
- upgraded all four staffs (each one needing a independent, convoluted procedure)
- Filled all four Soul Chests
- discovered that you CAN NOT complete the "Little Lost Girl" mission/Easter Egg on easy difficulty
Yeah, that last one? That really pissed us off.
So Part five of the "Little Lost Girl" mission involves putting the staffs into each giant robot. We relied heavily on the Call of Duty Wiki to progress through the map. Really, the stuff was getting so complicated there was little choice. ON the third or fourth read through of trying to get Part 5 to work I finally noticed this minor warning "(This part cannot be done on easy)." SeanMCR's reaction to this revelation was up to his usual form. Even beyond it in some ways. Yep, a picture of serene calm. That's our Sean.
We do play on easy as normal difficulty allows us to get nowhere. Consistently.
Now priorities. SeanMCR's boneheaded move.
I have done stupid things playing zombie mode. I suspect any of us that played it have. Up to this point Graybush has had firm hold on the most boneheaded move. Swapping the vital monkey bombs to the Tickle Trunk for the useless Molotovs. Twice in one round. Yeah, smooth.
Last night SeanMCR topped that. He went into the excavation site to grab his wand. Planning on keeping his ray gun and swapping out his mediocre Type 50. Anyone that has used the Type 50 automatic rifle knows it is one of the most useless weapons in the map.
So he ran up to the get the wand thinking to himself, why am I throwing away all this Type 50 ammo.
So...
- he switches to the Type 50 and starts firing it all over until it was empty
- he hits X to retrieve the wand
- he remembers that when you empty a weapon it auto-switches to your next available weapon
- he swaps his good ray gun for the wand
Yep. He did.
So he ended up with the wand and his least favorite weapon as his backup. His empty least favourite weapon.
Then he told us about it.

If like to point out I still had the highest score and headshots after all that....
Here's the proof

Also, I recommend hiring a photographer to help with your screen shots.
I don't know what's worse... the mistake, or admitting it.
