Team HoC Ghosts: Operation Barrhaven
The few, the proud, the random...
Well, the few part was accurate.
About the above image. While it was heavily Photoshopped to emulate the Modern Warfare 3 Op Kingfish picture the Ghosts masks were real. They were part of the door prizes handed out. Since most of you weren't there I guess you are destined to be cold this winter.
Just like every weekly Sega Nite, Coxxorz's impromptu LAN party was sparsely attended. Nothing we were worried about or surprised by. Coxxorz and I settled into his living room for an extended coop day and if anyone else showed up that would be fine.
Despite his constant promises and threats I think we were both still surprised when Q-Bert showed up at the door. Complete with his gaming PC. Close, Q-Bert, so very close.
HipShotDot: A red dot sight for your TV/monitor
I would like to think this could help Q-bert's game but...
- Attach the red dot sight to the screen to align with the cross hairs/sights of your weapon. Adjust the tension of the secondary attachment point.
This is a red LED that you attach to the reticule point on your gaming TV/monitor. With a suction cup. It never moves or gets blocked out and it is always highly visible.

SeanMCR's conspiracy theory vindicated
Like everyone else, I thought it was just Fort McMurray Internet
Call of Duty Ghosts Experiencing Massive Hacking.
- Players recognized the hacks immediately, and are questioning why Infinity Ward is taking no action. Looking at the cases below, it appears like they are not even monitoring online multiplayer activity, given how blatant it is.
While I did have problems believing SeanMCR's theories I have no problem accepting that Activision and Infinity Ward are doing little to prevent it. On the other hand it's nice to have an excuse for my horrible K/D ratio.
Ghosts!
Call of Duty: Ghosts, that is.
Come one, come all! Play online or in person. Door prizes to all those who attend.

The reason I didn't take advantage of the Future Shop Trade
The "deal" of this console generation wasn't for me
I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention Best Buy in this fiasco as well.
And yes, it was a fiasco...
- Stores didn't get enough warning to staff up
- A lot of stores allowed individuals to reserve online the game for in store pickup the next day. Then they went in to pick it up and traded instead. Avoiding the lines.
- Stock levels were all over the place
- Despite advertising as a three day event the stores did not restock so all the games were gone on the first day
- They labelled, sealed and processed the traded in games right then and there making the individual (and line) wait for each one. Instead of dumping them in a box for later processing
- Many individuals traded for more than one game at a time despite the official legalese of "Limit one title per customer per day" (they even bolded it)
- The estimated time of 10 minutes per trade in was low
- Some individuals obtained PC copies of the game despite it being listed as present generation console only
- Other issues
As I said, fiasco.
However, this is about me and why I did not take advantage of the trade in deal. Not that I didn't mean to try...
