What is with this Battlestar bashing thread?
Stormblade speaks not being any large clanky cylons and Starbuck being a chick is bad??? Those "large chunks of heavy metal" are called Centurions, and they are still in the newest Battlestar Gallactica series.
As to the Starbuck being a chick. Well frankly since Apollo and Starbuck are super good buds in the old series, I think implementing that in the newest series (in this day and age) would be like pulling another Frodo - Sam relationship. Which most dumbasses (aka: Americans) would say is gay. Starbuck being a girl solves that squabble.
Like come on, Xena Warrior Princess is a Cylon and Tricia Helfer is smoking hot. I don't see how you, unless you are not a man, could possible have decent reasons to complain.
I have a friend who is a EPIC diehard Old Battlestar fan and after the first couple episodes of the new series he was assimilated in to the collective.
The new Battlestar Gallactica Series is without a doubt the greatest Sci-fi series of All Times.

That the original series was in fact 2 different series. There was the original original with the proper Apolo and Starbuck, and then there was that second pseudo series which took place some 20 or so years later with the son of Apolo. They had to have Lorn Green grow a beard to indicate that he was much older as he had that pure white hair from the begining. I guess they had to cut back substantially on set budgets, since they brought the whole fleet to earth so that most of the action can take place off of fancy space sets.
And they had that god awful 'chosen one' type kid leading the whole fleet. Which could be said that he was a pre-cursor to the Wesley Crusher type character.

with not appreciating the women on the show. Just call it something else. Find your own script for Christ's sake. Leave well enough alone!
Remake Baywatch and put the ladies in it. At least there would be a point to that!
