Heroes: Angels and Monsters
Well seems like Q-bert is out for the week. Therefore I shall do the honours of starting off the review thread for Heroes S03 E05.
I really didn't like this episode at all. Let me tell you why.
First, the Good and the Bad.
Good:
- Claire starting to kick some ass, although her first attempt is a bit of a screw up.
- Sylar tell Claire how it truly is about her dad (yes Sylar is actually on my good list for the first time.)
- Blackhole Guy, now that is a sweet power.
- Adam is back baby!
Bad:
- Mohinder
- Latina, man she is just RETARDED isn't she.
- Mohinder and Latina in the same frames.
- A second mind altering perv?
So let us start off by the obvious flaw that occur. Why didn't Sylar use his super hearing to overhear that Noah was saying to Blackhole guy, instead of just judging was what going on by there expressions. Seems to me like the writers forgot about that power.
I really want to know where all that stuff goes when sucked into those blackwholes. Maybe this blackguy is still alive?
I kind of liked how they revealed the true nature of Lieberman. I'll be honest that I never thought of that.
OH, OH, one of the most poorly played out scene with Hiro killing Ando .... I thought that was some shitty acting on Hiros part. "I have to do this Ando, , done. " I assume this is a joke and that Hiro is going to do some time trick to get out of this.
All in all I was not impressed with this episode. Nothing truly exciting happened. A filler episode, with a cliffhanger end. I am surprised that TV.com gave this episode the best rating out of all the season 3 episodes, nearly perfect. Also, no Elle still :(
That is all.

I liked it. A lot. It explains things of the first season, and the second season. I loved the fact that they are bringing up Arthur now. I see the Bitch softening up, and anytime they have to put an Immortal out of the way (Peter put into a coma) I won't bitch against.
Yeah, I'm not sorry to see Mr. Vortex go, he would have been too powerful, and I already dislike the number of Supermen the writers have brought in. As for Sylar not using his super-hearing, don't forget that when he used the ability the first time, it hurt his head a lot. I know he's used it at the end of season 1, but that particular ability might be filed in his head as "unreliable".
I really don't like the plot line they have taken with Hiro. I like it even less now that he has "killed" Ando.
I applauded when I thought that Mohinder whacked Maya. She is just coocooned. Bummer.
I guess next week we will be treated to a love story between Daphne and Parkman.
But since I am one of the few here that actually watches this show...
HardW00D: stop reading now. You're still on Season 1. No peeking!
I like Black Hole guy, but his stint was too short. Clearly a throwaway character used to get Claire's feet wet in "the business".
The Linderman thing did occur to me, but I didn't put a lot of thought into who was doing it. Makes perfect sense, and I like how it introduced a new character. Especially one that you've probably wondered about in the past. On a related note, it's too bad we're finding out about the Company's artificial creation of some of the heroes. It was fun figuring things out based on genetics alone, but now the existence of the formula throws that whole game out the window.
The puppet master is a kinda cool twist on the Parkman mind control ability, but it sucks that Claire's biomom was so easily trapped by him. Especially since she went in fully aware.
And what happened with Adam again? Kind of a forgettable plot all in all.
existed now, we could bring back gladiator matches! Hot damn!
What is a 'Monter'?
"...Why didn't Sylar use his super hearing to overhear that ..."
When he uses his super hearing, is it accompanied with the sound effect from the Bionic Woman?
you should just give up.
... no please, give up.
I don't know what you are talking about.
