Resident Evil 5 demo - Impressions
I find it somewhat strange that a game with ZOMBIES (well, technically they might not be zombies, but still) and CO-OP has gone completely unnoticed on this site.
That being said, I was quite looking forward to this game after the amazing Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube. They have kept the same over-the-shoulder third person view, similar game mechanics, and have added another character that tags along with you.
But for some reason, while playing only the demo I must confess, I didn't have the same level of enjoyment as when I first played Resident Evil 4. I am not 100% sure why, as the 'stop and shoot' method is still used, but it just didn't feel the same when you shot 'zombies'. Maybe it's because they evaporated or "bubbled" away when you killed them...
Whatever the reason, I didn't enjoy the demo very much and will have to wait till this one is discounted to get it.

I also tried it, and did not like it very much. Although I will go back and try it again, as I have found out that you can change the control settings so that you can move and shoot. Maybe that will make it a bit more enjoyable. If it has a good story perhaps it could be enjoyable, but from what I see, this thing is even more linear than half-life and Halo. You have to walk down a specific path, no deviation. I you try to leave, then a Zombie Stormblade shoots out and starts anoying you by correcting your grammar during every cut scene.

In Zombeeck, bbbrrraaaaiiiinnnnssss has only 4 'i''s
Wasn't too impressed by the game play and I found the AI/collision detection of the zombies awkward if nothing else.
Second attempt in, on the second map went better.
Although I still wasn't overly impressed.
Would have to try the co-op before I fully commit but at this point no!
Mostly because I'm too lazy to try it myself.
With Fungster88. Though we played it on my screen.
The division was irritating.
I didn't like the controls too much.
That could also be I still the GOW2 and Fallout3 programmed into me.
But I agree it may be a bargain binner for me.
It's only 2-player co-op.
