Purely a coincidence
So last Friday I found out about a cult horror film called Outpost starring Ray Stevenson. It was a film about soldiers holding off waves of Nazi Zombies. Something we would know nothing about. I posted this find almost immediately upon discovery at Fri, 04/24/2009 - 13:33.
Now Coxxorz and I normally go out on a coffee run between 2:30 and 3:00 in the afternoon.
Before I met up with him I started searching online for a copy of Outpost figuring I would order it and it would arrive sometime this week.
Future Shop: $18.99, out of stock. Best Buy: $19.99, out of stock. Rogers, limited availability. Hmmm... seems popular, am I sure I have the right film?
Anyway, when Coxxorz and I were driving to Timmies we drove near a Rogers. "Hey, I think that's one of the locations that had Outpost listed as available. Do we have time?"
Well we did. And Rogers had it in stock. "Would you like that to buy or to rent? We have a previously viewed copy available for $9.99."
"Sold! Where is it?"
"On that table there with all the other $9.99 previously viewed films. There is only one copy."
Only one copy, on a table, with over 500 other $9.99 previously viewed films. Unsorted!! Needle, meet haystack.
"Of course... Coxxorz, get over here and start looking!" Surprisingly the salesclerk came over to help. Must have been a slow day.
Now where was I going with this....
Oh yeah. So we found it quickly in less than a minute. It was in the second row I checked. Grabbed it and bought it. I now have a movie for the next LAN party. I figure we'll just set it on repeat.
The time of purchase? Fri, 04/24/2009 - 14:57.
Approx. 90 Minutes after posting about the film.
Outpost's listed runtime? Approx. 90 Minutes.

it were meant to be. Duhn, duhn, duhhhhhhhn.
I was in a zombie mood too, so I ended up getting Day of the Dead for a sister-in-law's b-day present. And then she ends up watching it without me, first thing in the morning!
Everybody knows you don't watch zombie flicks til after dark. It's the law.
... to watch Zombies.
Just asked me for a copy. I have 20.
Or was it Dawn of the Dead? Maybe I should go buy both to make sure.
Maybe I should mention that this is the 1985 version, not the abysmal recent remake.
I have multiple copies of. Each time I got it, I thought I had not already bought. I think I have 1 VHS and 2 or 3 dvd.
I will buy one (DVD) off you.
