District 9 - A Review

So me and Q-bert went to see District 9 tonight, right after going to greekfest and eating some nice food.

Right off the bat the movie starts out as a quasi-documentary style narrative, where certain events would happen followed by some solo commentary by various characters (kindof like the Office). What I really enjoyed was the fact that the aliens were shown almost right away, instead of hiding them throughout most of the movie and having them pop out somewhere else later on.

Also the special effects were seamlessly integrated into the live action shots, making them very believable. Most of the effects were handled by a Vancouver Based studio, in case anyone cares.
