Heroes: Kindness of Strangers
Or a better title would have been: "Heroes: Filler"
Yeah, not one fo the best episodes. There is so much "nothing" happening on this episode, that I am reminded of the book "Waiting for Godot" that I was forced to read in college. Essentially, nothing happens to Sylar, nothing happens to the twins, nothing happens to the cheerleader, nothing happens to Nathan, nothing happens to The Bitch, nothing happens to Micah...
We are introduced to a "throw-away" character. Obviously she will die at the hands of Sylar later. That means that Micah's and Sylar's arch will merge. Makes sense, since Micah is *kinda* near the Mexican border.
This episode has no Peter and no Hiro. The absence of Peter pleases me, but not the absence of Hiro. I imagine that the next episode will mostly focus on Hiro, and then another episode will mostly focus on Peter. I still don't like how they are handling the narative and sequencing of events for Hiro...
So, if they just aired the last 30 seconds of last night's episode, it would have been the same for me.
Oh, and I shut the TV off as soon as the episode was over and they showed the first credits. So, I've seen no spoilers for next week's episode :-)

"Filler" is just what I was thinking.
The Micah relatives are kind of odd. Partly due to the rapid character development (a sure sign of red shirt status for the black girl), but also because of Uhura. We've already established that these abilities are genetic, which leads one to wonder who their parents are, and what they could do. Also begs the question what can Uhura do. I'm gonna guess she's one of the 9, being an older character related to people with powers.
It will be interesting to see how Sylar deals with the combined powers of the Mexican siblings when he finally offs them. Will he take on his old alias when his powers return? I'm gonna guess they return by the time they reach the border, allowing him to use dead illusion girl's ability to cross over. I can only speculate that whoever brought Sylar to Mexico to recover is also responsible for the siblings' abilities (directly or indirectly), and has yet to be revealed.
Claire arc boring, boyfriend angers me.
Matt's father one of the 9? Maybe interesting. Molly trapped in her own mind? Infuriating. She wouldn't locate the bad dude, then wouldn't break the link when she found him. And when they were telling her to stop. And why the fuck did they force her to find the exact apartment number anyway? They know he's alive, what precise building in America he's in, and isn't one of them a mind-reading policeman, for christsake?! GRRRRRR!!!!
And yes, there was an insta-spoiler immediately following the episode. I was shouting and bouncing so much I didn't catch any of it (except a glimpse of Hollywood's impression of the Ukraine), but the wife was caught off guard, and watched like a deer in headlights.
Hiro dies a horibly gruesom death when he mistakenly teleports to the Mesasoic era and gets eaten by a velociraptor, that that turns out to be Sylar morphed. At the end, you see him enter a stall, and 'dump' Hiro.
is certainly not me. I always login to post.
the last episode of Heroes made me want to puke. The least they could have done was show a quick clip of Peter drinking fine Guinness with his new Irish buddies.
Secondly, I give Claires boyfriend ... 4 more episodes before he gets wacked. Frankly the world is not big enough for two flyers.
Sylar pisses me off to. Frankly, I believe I mentioned this last time, he should have stayed dead. He reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Super Sayans, they just more and more and more powerful ... 290 episodes later, they just decide to stop.
Uhhh what else ... I am glad they brought wrestling into Heroes :). Now if she is smart she will rent ALL Bruce Lee movies, frankly all martial arts movies. This of course will turn her into the deadliest assassin and then we'll trully see some ass kickery. Now that would be cool. Hmmmm, now that I think about it. She seems to be a mimicker. Perhaps she will be able to mimic powers that she sees people do? Nahhhh, we don't need another Sylar/Peter. 3-ways are the worst since one person always gets double teamed, which is just not fair.
One last thing, I am glad that hippy fine art student driver in mexico got killed, what an idiot.
... to remind everyone that there is such a thing as a spell-checker, and it is polite to re-read your post before pressing on "Submit".
This should be especially followed by the university graduates among us.
So, we should not make fun of Stormblade's syntax errors and butchered expressions, but Noir is fair game.
Spelling is too good to be Revek, Ice doesn't post this sarcastically, and Blackwalt would NEVER forget to log in...
Glad to see my spell check is working well. Now I can konsceal mie selph, and knowwan whil be ayble 2 tell it is me.
Stormblade...
He does have a velociraptor fixation...
