So, Blackwalt had given me a Walmart raincheck for 2 copies of Borderlands.
Here's my saga of acquiring them.
Not much to tell really. Just stopped at the Orleans Walmart on my way to making my final payment on my bathroom.
Me: "You have any Borderlands?"
Clerk: "Yeah."
Me, showing him the raincheck: "Will you honor this?"
Clerk: "Yeah."
Me: "Good, I'll take 2."
Clerk: "Only two left."
Woman who was talking on a cell phone and had been visibly looking for something in the Xbox games section: "Dammit!"
...
Clerk: "This raincheck is pretty old..."
Me: ....
Clerk: "I'll need a manager to override the price, gimme a sec."
Clerk on the PSA: "CSM needed at games department."
.....
5 Minutes
...
Clerk on the PSA: "CSM needed at the games department!"
...
Well, you get the gist of it. Took about 15 minutes for a "CSM" to come over and use his magical key.
So, I am now the owner of 2 copies of Borderlands for a wee bit over $90CDN.
Who wants to buy the extra ?

I too have a raincheck for walfart...for $39.99.but barhaven seems to never gte any stock.....so if you want to let go for that, i'll buy it from you.

I will try to make it to Coxxorz place next week. Chances are good, but ultimately my family will decide for me.
I'm surprised they honoured it, being a different store than what's on the raincheck.
