Microsoft fixes flaw by punishing users
While I do not disagree with Coxxorz a valid counter-argument has come from Fudzilla. They comment on how Microsoft fixes flaw by punishing users.
- Software giant Microsoft has come up with a clever solution to a software flaw on its Xbox Live online service. Rather than fixing the mistake in the software of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Redmond has decided that it is better to punish the users who exploit it.

I'm actually surprised by how evenly opinion is split on this (based on our poll). To be honest, I have to admit it would be unfair to be banned without warning for something that could be considered a feature of the game. We have no way of knowing if this was a programming oversight or a design decision that backfired (although we know what their marketing people want us to think).
But people who exploit quirks to do things like get under maps or float high above them should not only be banned, but have their consoles smashed by WWF wrestlers while their parents watch.
temporarily, than have the power to change another company's software. That's much worse.
And without knowing the particulars, for all we know Activision may have approached MS to do this while they got Futility Ward to work on a fix. They would know from experience how much sales drop off during a scandal like this. I'd love to see the daily Players Online stats for this month.
I was just speculating.
Well then I speculate that at least they're not so controlling that they tie software to specific consoles, so that when you take your overpriced hard drive to another machine you aren't forced to re-install all games saved to your own drive.
Oh, wait.
Once again I would have to agree with Swag...
Hell must be freezing over...oh wait it started snowing already.
