Annnnnd... they're gone.
It's interesting that just yesterday Aonestakesauce was telling us about a new glitch he discovered in Black Ops Zombie Mode. Well as predicted, Treyarch has released a patch that fixes those and other "problems".
I find it interesting that I didn't get the update notice when I logged on, but an hour or so into playing - in the middle of a game - got kicked off Xbox Live, which then triggered the update on relaunch. Very classy, Treyarch.
Anyway, here are the details, per Callofduty.com:
2/28/11 (Title Update 7)
Issues Addressed:
• Matchmaking improvements to return higher quality results faster. This change includes settings that are tunable in the live environment, so tweaking may continue beyond initial release of this update.
• The in-game store now hides DLC map packs that do not match the language of the player’s disc to decrease the possibility of users downloading the incorrect language version.
• Calling in a Chopper Gunner immediately after getting shot down in a Gunship will no longer end the Chopper Gunner run prematurely. Required timing-specific button presses.
• Split screen players are now able to change camera perspectives and cycle through players as a spectator.
• Addressed an issue where the most recent match played in Zombies could overwrite the best match played on the leaderboard.
• Improved Zombies lobbies to prevent players from erroneously receiving the error “Unable to join game session” under certain circumstances.
• Addressed a number of community-discovered Zombies gameplay exploits.
• Additional security feature updates.
Gameplay Tuning:
• Additional sniper rifle tuning.
I particularly like the last one. I wonder if the "tuning" they're talking about means people won't be sprinting around getting headshots without aiming their sniper rifles?
We'll see.

Graybush and I gave up on you at 12:30AM.
It appears they fixed the 'bug' regarding the number of people playing BlackOps. For the past two weeks it's been regularly over 2 million. Last night there were over 3 million. Today, there's 166K. Slight difference.
They must be using the same tool Bell uses to calculate your internet usage.
I came on around 12:30, so I just missed you. Did you get the update?
but now we know what's waiting for us tonight. Maybe I'll take up sniping...
The shotgun.
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
