Dead Island ships a ton of copies

But Coxxorz still can't find one

Good news for Dead Island. They have shipped over a million copies in North America and are following it up with an additional million copies. I am still addicted to it and, again, recommend it to any one here who has the slightest interest in it. It's well worth it.

Dead Island publisher Deep Silver must be stoked, having gone from relative obscurity to successful worldwide game publisher in the span of just one week. It seems that the company's latest release -- the much ballyhoo'd Dead Island -- has already shipped 1 million units to retail in the US, and the publisher expects to have moved 2 million units to retail worldwide by the end of its second week on shelves (that's this Sunday, folks).

Because they seemed to be sold out right after launch. Some people who preordered for in-store pickup didn't even get a copy.

But the part that kills me is they didn't bother to say there would be a delay in shipping it out. Otherwise I could have made alternate arrangements!!!!

I hate you, Future Shop.
