Just shoot me now

Until now, I have had no compelling reason to order Modern Warfare 3. No swag, no deals, and no good aftertaste (thanks to MW2). But then those bastards at Future Shop have gone and announced an exclusive SteelBook when you buy it at the midnight store opening!

This is a departure from the last few Steelbooks the hated electronics retailer has showered gamers with in recent weeks. The Batman: Arkham City Steelbook, for example, was automatically added to your cart (for $0) at checkout when you preordered it. Not so with MW3.

In this case, it's not possible to reserve your case in advance. If you already pre-ordered online, you might as well cancel it now. You have to show up at a store at midnight on November 8. Either the quantities are extremely limited, or the Ass Pirate Superstore has given up trying to figure out how to properly handle preorder bonuses, and simply reverted to The Old Ways.

Either way, it's not clear which locations will be participating. The forum post ominously states that they will be opening ALL stores at midnight, which obviously can't be the case. Besides, they have been known to be somewhat wrong almost every goddamn time.

I don;t understand why you care so much about a steel box?! Is that really worth the 4 hours of your time standing in line at midnight?

Its the only thing I can think of. Dangle a shiny thing in front of them and they will stand in line for 20 hours if it is free.

Or black. Will also stand in line for black.

Still under construction, but some interesting tidbits..
