HoC Avengers Assemble!
For a Herd of Cats' Movie Night
As Joss Whedon is our master now I figure it is only fair that we go see his most recent movie.
Although there are a few things to be decided and I suspect it will take about two weeks to settle them.
Let's try to do it in less...
As shown above The Avengers will release this Friday May 4th. I am not suggesting we go see the Thursday Midnight showing. Friday evening will be fine. Guba and Rolly have plans for Friday evening so I am cleared to attend.
Questions to be answered:
- Are you planning on attending? (Yes)
- 3D or 2D? (Either although leaning towards 3D on Stormblade's behalf)
- Which theatre?
- Coliseum Ottawa Cinemas
- SilverCity Gloucester Cinemas
- Cineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas
- Cineplex Odeon Barrhaven Cinemas
- There is something out in Kanata isn't there?
- Depending on the theatre we pick, which showtime? (I am thinking between 7:00 and 8:30 start so we could do something totally unprecendented like go out for a drink afterwards. I know! That's crazy talk!)
- Should we buy tickets in advance? (I am thinking yes but...)
- Individuals assume responsibility for the cost of their ticket. I don't mind ordering a bunch for everyone but if you say you are going and you don't show you still owe me the money. Don't care. Your ticket, you pay. Or each person can be responsible for their own. Whichever.
- Will we get permission from our spouses, significant others, HOPA? (Yes)
- Obviously spouses, significant others and, yes, even HOPA are welcome to join us.
Anyway, I don't really remember any of our previous movie nights being a spectacular success. The opposite in fact. I'm going. I suspect some of you want to go. Let's attempt to do it together.
More importantly, let's try for something a little less random than our norm.

Also, I won't be able to make it as I have a media event on Friday to attend.

Although getting in on opening night might not be easy for a large group...
Silvercity is best for me, and it is better than most theaters in Ottawa. I hate 3D now, but either way is fine. 7-8 is ok for showtime, and we should definitely get tickets in advance.
I only wanna go if Coxxorz goes! And Revek.
So you can have a ride home after.
