I keep hearing about Monster Hunter: World
It's been on my radar since it was announced at E3
I have always heard about Monster Hunter games but they have always been on 3DS or other platforms I did not own.
Now coming as an Open World cooperative game, Monster Hunter: World has captured my interest and will be available on Xbox One.
From Polygon: Watch 12 minutes of hands-on gameplay
in the video above, you can watch just over 12 minutes from our recent hands-on session with the game. We join a group of hunters from Capcom to take on the Anjanath, a large, fire-breathing dinosaur that really doesn’t like being hunted.
No vampires or zombies. Instead you equip your hunters and cooperatively take down gigantic lizards and similar monsters.

HoC Random Mobile Game of the Day - 08212017
It is the perfect HoC game as it involves yelling at each other
RollyC discovered this game at his Game Changers Summer Camp and forced his parental units to download and play it. Fun was had.
2-4 players. Cooperative. In the same room only (well... within yelling range).
More info at the Official Game Page and a trailer is provided after the break.
IKEA instructions for Game of Thrones Night Watch cloaks
Official instructions!
Once the Game of Thrones costume designers let leak that they had used IKEA carpets for the Night Watch cloaks it was only a matter of time before IKEA noticed. IKEA Norway was first, releasing the above IKEA instructions for makiing your own Game of Thrones Night Watch cloak. Just like Jon Snow wears on the show.
You can read more details at the Daily Mail.
They have the IKEA name listed as Vinter which doesn't exist on the Ikea.ca site. I did find two alternatives which match in different ways.
Fortnite... In real life?
The fine folks at Rooster Teeth bring us another episode of their "In Real Life" series. Would a Fortnite style wooden fort hold up against the zombie horde?
Watch and find out...
For our Tenth #2: Ten Hours of Nyan Cat
Only the strong can watch it all
I am not one of the strong...
So... for our Tenth... Ten Cats
It's an (unrelated) comic strip...
It's also video game related as they mention Call of Duty right there in the last panel between shrimp and chicken.
HoC Random Upcoming Anniversary of the Decade - 08132017
August 14, 2007 was an ignominious day
So tomorrow is August 14. 2017. And at some point last week I remembered that it will be the Tenth Anniversary of HerdofCats.ca. This did not spur me into planning anything. I guess this means I will be counting on you guys for content tomorrow.
Hello? Anyone? Damn crickets.
So yeah, anyway... I haven't done or planned anything other than remembering that it is tomorrow. Seems almost appropriate somehow.
