The cans in question are the Assassin’s Creed Origins Utopia by Tournaire handcrafted headphones, created through the combined talents of a 3D artist, an art caster, and a goldsmith, all of whom "worked together with the [Tournaire] jeweler for several months." The headphones—aural artwork, really—are made exclusively in France, and will feature an average weight of 150 grams of 18k gold per set. Only ten will be released to the public, and they will sell for €50,000 each, which works out to just shy of $60,000.

Only $60,000.

For the rest of you that are only casual fans you can pickup the slightly cheaper Assassin's Creed Origins: Listen Wireless.

We may have dodged a bullet not picking up Dead Alliance on launch

We did talk about Dead Alliance on Herd of Cats but I am glad we waited to pick it up. Such a good idea for combining zombies and multiplayer battles. Too bad it didn't come to fruition.

And yes, we are more cat people. I seem to remember we played the original Destiny quite a bit across both the 360 and the One. However, I am still not sure whether I am picking this up or not. Too many games coming out, too little budget. Will have to see what everyone else is planning.

Releasing September 6th by the way. That is this week!

After two years in "Early Access" status, Studio Wildcard has finally officially released Ark: Survival Evolved with all new content and servers. Unfortunately they have also retired many existing low-population servers to do so, resulting in much table flipping. Luckily the smarter gamers among us play on more than one. Read more

I realized I am posting hand-ons before we even talked about the game

Monster Hunter: World™ introduces a living, breathing ecosystem in which players strive to become the ultimate hunter. Explore a vast new continent and slay terrifying monsters in heart-pounding co-op battles for up to four players. The first worldwide launch in the series on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in early 2018.

So it is possible, although unlikely, that I occasionally go off on tangents about different games. Sometimes this works out (Borderlands, Dead Island) and sometimes it doesn't (Operation Raccoon City). Sometimes the games are only of interest to certain Clan Members (The Crew, Ark Survival Involved, Fortnite). If nothing else, it does provide us with content.

Monster Hunter: World appears to be one of those tangents. It will probably land in the third category edging toward the first. It is a four player cooperative game, it is open world, and it targets giant monsters which appear to be a cross between dinosaurs and dragons. No zombies that I can tell but it still hits many of the HoC Points of Interest.
