On October 3rd, four and a half members of Herd of Cats may be gathering together (Covid Safe!) in an undisclosed location to enjoy the release of Star Wars: Squadrons. Side undecided.

While we do plan on enjoying the co-operative mode, if some of you managed to join us virtually we would be more than willing to try some of the Dogfight and Fleet Battle modes. Maybe.

The smaller Next Generation Xbox Series Console is officially announced

Xbox Series S | Next-gen performance in the ^{ˢᵐᵃˡˡᵉˢᵗ} Xbox ever. $299 USD (ERP).

No optical drive in this version, so backwards compatibility from physical discs will not be a thing.

Unfortunately the announced $299 USD price means that the rumoured $599 USD Xbox Series X price is probably accurate. Hopefully it isn't more than that. (Although I am also reading that $499 USD is a strong possibility).
