Its Shipped
Apparently my beloved XBox has left Dell decontamination quarters and is on route to my home, only 20 days after I ordered it. I think next time I will order from a company that is used to taking orders over the internet, and not some unknown start up.
Now I just have to wait for it to actually make it to my place.
I also need to know what the game of choice is. and if it's not one of the things in my bundle I may have to wound someone (don't worry my aim isn't very good, it'll just be a flesh wound).
I'm thinking Tuesday night Welcome Ice as cannon fodder party?

So Karloff ordered his 360 bundle from Dell on Friday, and then a couple of co-workers go hyped and ordered theirs on Monday. Then this afternoon (Tuesday), somebody drops off a package for each of the co-workers. You guessed it, the Dell Xboxes.
None for Karloff.
So understandably, he goes online and checks the status of his order. No order found. Odd, he thought, as they called him to confirm the shipping address and everything.
So he calls them.
The Dell drone says she can correct the mistake, and informs him that his order will now ship on the 27th. "Excuse me?" he exclaims. "I placed the order days ago, and some people I work with got theirs in under 24 hours!"
"That's not possible," the drone assures him.
"Well, I'm looking right at them! I need you to fix the order, and expedite it to arrive in the next day or so."
"I can't do that," she explains.
"Well, who can do it? I want to talk to them."
"My supervisor can't do that either."
"Can you cancel my order?"
And she was very helpful from that point on. Which is weird, because you'd think they make more money by filling orders.
Anyways, so that's why Karloff won't be joining us tonight.
The "Welcome Ice Party" is scheduled for tonight. Tomorrow we are all busy.
See you there.
Ok Since Ice didn't actually get it picked up until today. It was hard to play last night. I hope the welcome Ice was a big hit without me.
Tonight, all I have to do is figure out some Xbox live account
I tried to add tuesday to the Calendar, letting everyone know I should be up and running by then, but it didn't add anything for me.
Is this why only Q-Bert seems to add things
I think... please test.
When I pick add new entry it asks me to save a file calendar.ics. When I launch it with IE nothing seems to happen. When I launch it with Firefox it seems to just want to keep opening another file.
This may be an ID 10 T error, but I don't think so,
Exactly what steps do you do ?
On the left menu -> Create Content -> Event -> define the event -> Submit
That way works.
My way doesn't. Which was to bring up the calendar and select the button above the RSS feed, which I think is called Add Entry.
It should be called: Add into your local Calendar. Not what you want.
