It seems that when I click on a friend without an Avatar my xbox freezes when I try to exit their profile.
Works ok with friends with Avatars.

There are two main reasons we have LAN parties. New game releases is our #2 reason. Our #1 reason appears to be birthdays.

It's understood that if you want to attend the Left 4 Dead co-op LAN party that you will arrange for your own copy of Left 4 Dead not to mention your own Xbox 360. Rented, bought, stolen (don't even think about it!), whatever.

It's not that hard. If you are a Nintendo head that doesn't want to play on Xbox 360 then don't. If you don't want to buy or play Left 4 Dead don't.

If I sound bitter its because I am. You should know this by now.

If you remember this Left 4 Dead event was originally for the four HoC members who wanted to play through the co-op campaign together. So much so, that we all arranged to take the day off. And if you thought asking your boss for the day off to kill zombies is easy, then you were wrong. We thought that it would be nice (kind even) to invite other HoC members who shared our interest to join us. Cue the drama! Who had any idea??? Okay, okay, HERD OF CATS, I probably should have.

... to keep Revek's cats out of the room on Friday.

Microplay at Bank and Hunt Club have one 36o for rent, but we can only reserve it tomorrow. They do not have Left4Dead available for rental on friday.

Only the U.S. gets the full New Xbox Experience

What the...? How did we end up getting screwed? Canada only gets a sleeker redesign. The U.S. gets the whole shebang!

When millions of Xbox 360 users connect to the Internet Wednesday they'll have the option to give their consoles an extreme makeover.

Microsoft has branded it the "new experience.'' Unfortunately, the full experience will only be available in the U.S. In Canada, gamers will have to settle for a sleek redesign.

Because I don't have enough reasons to hate Stormblade and A Troll.

What's happening with Zombie week

Thanks for all the excellent participation. Even the negative stuff.

Left 4 Dead LAN event is still on and you are expected to provide your own copy of Left 4 Dead rented or bought.

We are not forcing anyone to buy Left 4 Dead nor are we pointing a gun at your head (Ok, ok, I am not counting in game! What happens in Live stays in Live). Don't get it if you don't want to but keep in mind that the LAN is called "Left 4 Dead co-op LAN party" so.... Read more

Surprise!

The official launch date for the new Xbox 360 dashboard is this Wednesday (Nov. 19th). But Major Nelson's blog reports that if you signed up for the preview successfully but didn't get in you will have received access late yesterday. 48 hours before everyone else.

All killer, No Filler

The Official Xbox Magazine reviewed Left 4 Dead with a score of 9.5/10.

Writing up a positive experience with the following tidbits:

• Valve has turned it into a minimalist masterpiece
• less is morbid
• simple ingredients, perfectly prepared
• compelling co-op gameplay, delicious brains
• Valve has cut the bloated survival-horror genre down to the bone

OXM talked about the simplified game play but summed up concerns with:

Call of Duty: World at War isn't the only game to include a Zombie mini-game. Saint's Row 2 has included a playable arcade cabinet game called Zombie Uprising that can be found in the in-game “Adult” Store .

Not only do you get to shoot hundreds of zombies in the face with various weapons including AK-47 rifles, pistols, shotguns and even a Gatling gun type minigun. A friggin Gatling gun! You also get access to melee weapons like sledgehammers, machetes, baseball bats, grenades and even a chainsaw! A friggin chainsaw!
