Site new look
Comment to the webmaster: New look is defective. Cannot see the links in both columns properly. Color is too close to the background color. Try contrasting a bit more. Go oposite side of the wheel instead. Or darker in the same color.
Look Mom
On Sunday, I was at a sport equipment store with Boozie (Q-Bert's 4 year old daughter) and while going around looking at the clothes she turns to me and says: 'Hey mom, look, these are pants for daddy!'. She was pointing at a pair of sweatpants.
I thought Stormblade would be a giggle out of that one...
For Coxxorz...
The Source is going bankrupt and they are liquidating everything.
Though I must admit I have not seen anything flattering yet.
Lest we forget ...
90 years ago tomorrow, the German and Austria-Hungarian forces surrendered to the Allies at Versailles. That war, then called the war to end all wars, marked not only the greatest casualty toll the world had ever seen, and the rapid decline in the power and influence of the old empires, it also witnessed the emergence of two nations on the world scene. For the US, it was a coming out party. An opportunity to arrive like the proverbial cavalry charge and save the day. The Americans were there for only one year of the war, the last, but there is no doubt that by sheer numbers alone they were able to break the stalemate that had been WWI. Read more
Doomed I tell ya!
Intense is the best review I can give Left 4 Dead
Insult or Compliment.
I was at the wine at the Wine and Food show last night with the guys. Never take a date to an event like that.
One of my buddy's boss was there and his wife says this to me:
her: "You're like a cross between Charlie Sheen and Patrick Waterburton"
me: "uh...thanks...why?"
her: "Charlie Sheen because it seems you know every woman in here and Patrick Waterburton because you are as nutty as Elaine's boyfriend (Puddy) on Seinfeld"
her: "It's kind of a compliment"
me: "Yeah, thanks" Read more
Separated at birth?
So here we were looking up Lou Diamond Phillips on IMDB (don't ask), and came upon a photo of him with a nice young lady. "Hey, it's the chick from Enterprise", I pointed out, helpfully. But her name was listed as "Yvonne Boismier Phillips". An error? A pseudonym? Then I noticed the last name. Perhaps that's his wife? Couldn't be. She would never leave me for that phoney. "Jolene Blalock!" I interject, her name springing to mind a bit too readily for my wife's liking (I blame Blackwalt). So off to IMDB again for some clarification.
Except it didn't really help at all...
That's the alleged Mrs. Phillips on the left, and our favourite Vulcan on the right.
Coincidence? Discuss.
Why on earth would you launch a game on a friday?
Dear Microsoft:
U suck. Well, no not really. You do but that's not the point I am trying to make here.
I suspect that there is a reason most games launch on a Tuesday and not a Friday. I don't don't know what it is but I am sure it's there.
But you Microsoft? And you Epic Games? Hello? You do know that people order online don't you? And that online purchases are dependent on shipping? Even FedEx takes a day by the way. If shipping delays cause you to miss a day for a Tuesday release its not a big deal. Everyone has their copy by Wednesday (or at least Thursday) and you are winning Live big on the following weekend. But you shipped Friday. Shipping delays will cost you a weekend. A weekend that you won't be winning on Live. And next weekend? Sorry. COD5 anyone? That's winning next weekend. This weekend was yours to win and you gave it up. By launching on a Friday.
