New HoC exo-zombie perk
Coxxorz made this quote last Sega Nite during a period of time where he had difficulty finding the rest of us and was busy running all over the Carrier trying to find us. Not being familiar with the map at all only made it worse. Perhaps the randomness with which the rest of us were running all over the place may have contributed. For the record, Graybush was the one at the plinko machine.
HoC Random Exo-Zombie of the Day - 06192015
I have no idea what he is doing
Usually while playing Zombie Mode or Exo-zombies you try to keep one zombie alive at the end of a round. Allowing your team to upgrade, buy perks, tickle trunk, or whatever may need doing. Usually you try for a floor guy (crawler) or a single slow zombie.
Then there is this guy.
This happened last night while playing with SeanMCr and Graybush. Neither of them saw him doing this and had to work off my verbal description.
HoC E3 UPDATE: backwards compatibility list and poll
Keflings! Banjo-Kazooie! Viva Pinata! Some other games I never heard of and will never play!
Microsoft has posted a list of eighteen Xbox 360 games already supported on Xbox One. The list is included below.
Microsoft has also asked for feedback to let them know what Xbox 360 Games you most want to see on the Xbox one.
The poll is available here:
Go and vote now! I am happy to see that all three of the Zombie Mode Call of Duty games are in the top twenty.
You expect us to do what??
I love a good challenge. Tough challenges are awesome. It's one of the reasons I like gaming.
However.
Having learned what's required to finish the Carrier map in Exo Zombies, I have to say goes beyond a challenging requirements for level/game completion. I have to believe these steps must be leaked to the hardcore COD video bloggers. A nugget. A hint. Something must be leaked for this workflow to be flushed out. The steps are so random. You'd think the HoC clan would be good at it. Sadly, it's not OUR kind of random. Read more
HoC E3 UPDATE: #XboxOrWeRiot reaction
Xbox fans demonstrate a mild reaction to Sony's exclusive rights to Call of Duty
I don't seem to remember Sony fans reacting so badly when Microsoft got the Call of Duty Exclusive rights but I may have been too busy laughing at them to notice.
From EXL Gaming:
After today’s announcement that Sony now has the exclusive rights to Call of Duty (CoD), the Xbox CoD community is literally up in arms protesting about this marketing decision.
Xbox has had the exclusive rights for quite some time now, hence the reason that the entire competitive CoD scene is focused around Xbox.
Trending on all social media right now is the hash tag #xboxorweriot.
It’s a very clear message, gamers from all levels, whether it is amateur or MLG level are not impressed. These gamers have sunk hundreds of dollars into ensuring they have the top of the line equipment to play CoD on the Xbox competitively knowing that this is the console that will always have the upper hand as far as DLC goes…………… well at least it used to be.
Seriously? Rioting? It's not like there is hockey involved or anything...
HoC E3 UPDATE: Ghost Recon open world game
Ghost Recon: Wildlands with four player co-op
Ghost Recon Open-World Game Revealed at E3 2015
...during Ubisoft's E3 2015 briefing, the French publisher officially announced Ghost Recon: Wildlands, the first ever open world game in the series. It's in development at Ubisoft Paris and is described by its developers as having the biggest open world Ubisoft has ever made.
The game, which has been in development for more than three years, will let you play alone, or in co-op with up to three others. It is set in Bolivia--and the team spent two weeks there for research.
Again, it is somewhere on the E3Expo Site but it is easier to find it directly on Gamespot.
HoC Random Muppets of the Day - 06162015

HoC E3 UPDATE: Black Ops 3 multiplayer reveal
Sadly this appeared during the Sony press conference
Still, Black Ops 3.
HoC E3 UPDATE: New Xbox One Dashboard
Just to get it out there, the existing interface sucks
New Xbox One Interface Looks Way Different
Microsoft today unveiled the next iteration in its Xbox One user interface, and it looks significantly different from the original.
At the moment, the company is referring to it as the "New Xbox One Experience," and it brings a whole new look to your console's dashboard. According to the reveal trailer (watch it below), the home screen has been redesigned with a series of vertical and horizontal menu options. If anything, it looks more like the PlayStation 3's XMB than the original Xbox One's Metro UI's tile organization.
About damn time they tried to fix it.
Again, it is on the E3Expo Site somewhere but it is massively easier to find it directly on Gamespot.
New HoC high for Three Player Exo-Zombies Carrier
Round 23
We were surprisingly cooperative. Even Coxxorz who was there as a disembodied voice. We got caught in a bad area transferring between rooms or we could have got to Round 24.
If we had abandoned Graybush instead of a running a tragically heroic rescue attempt we would have made another round. Unfortunately once we learned our perks slowly time out when you are down we have put more effort into reviving teammates quickly. Past Round 20 this can be your team's downfall.
HoC E3 UPDATE: The Entire Microsoft Press Conference
Too long. Did not read.
Skip ahead to the nine minute mark. That's when things actually start. Which means the one hour and thirty eight minutes of Xbox Stuff is really only one hour and twenty nine minutes.
Oh, well, that's not that bad.
This is provided by C|Net so I did not even visit the E3Expo Site. Phew.
HoC E3 UPDATE: Xbox One Elite Controller
How many more buttons do you need? I know, I know, all of them!
New Xbox One "Elite" Controller Revealed at E3 2015
UPDATE: $150
As part of Microsoft's E3 2015 briefing today, the company officially announced a new Xbox One controller.
It's called an "Elite" controller, and it aims to offer "pro level precision." The wireless pad has hair trigger locks, swappable components, and button and paddle remapping.
I am skipping the E3 site disaster this time and just sending you direct to Gamespot. I think that is easier all around.
HoC E3 UPDATE: Backwards compatibility
Where I am only going to try to post the important stuff
Xbox One to be Backward Compatible with Xbox 360 Games, Microsoft Reveals at E3 2015
Microsoft revealed on Monday at E3 2015 a grand plan to allow all Xbox 360 games to play on Xbox One via software emulation.
Digital Xbox 360 titles already purchased via XBLA, as well as retail discs of last-gen titles, will eventually be "natively" playable on Xbox One, the company claimed.
They have configured their website so it is IMPOSSIBLE to directly link to anything. Somewhere on the E3Expo Site you will find the story.
Or eventually you can click all the way around to figure out it is a Gamespot Story rehosted on E3Expo. One would assume legally.
New HoC high for Exo-Zombies Carrier (again) - Round 27
I couldn't help it, I thought SeanMCR was pressuring me!
Having read SeanMCR's comment earlier today I assumed that my Round 22 would not stand for long. With no one else online toniight I figured I might as well try some Exo-Zombie Carrier. See if I could give SeanMCR something to think about.
And I did. Right up to Round 4 where the plinko machine and a well cooked grenade did me in. Fun Fact: the Exo-Medic does not auto-revive you if you kill yourself. It does, however, laugh and I believe it nominated me for a Darwin award.
I persevered...
