Halloween Teaser

As most of you know Halloween is my favorite time of year for many reasons. The main being this is when women let loose and show their inner monster. Of course it is also the time of year when I let my artistic side come out.

Most of the materials are bought. Just need chicken wire and some sealant foam. I am starting later than usual (usually start making the costume April etc, but because of unforeseen circumstances, I could not start until last week. I hope I will finish it in time.

Come watch the Major League Gaming finals taking place in Raleigh, NC with a bunch of fellow StarCraft fans. If all goes well we'll definitely make this a regular thing. Show up and be one of the few who will be able to say they were there when it all started!

We'll be watching at the Clocktower Brew Pub on Bank St. I'll be there from noon to 9PM, so drop by anytime and support your local BarCraft! The tournament schedule still isn't set, but based on the MLG Anaheim schedule, the Semifinals should start at Noon, and the Finals should start around 4PM. This thread will be updated with accurate times when they're available.

I've reserved the large basement room for us so we'll have the use of the large projector down there - there will be no squinting at small screens to see the supply.

Challenge for all HoC Members

Challenge for all HoC Members

Since hearing QBert's achievement. It inspired me to challenge all of HoC since all the memebers I know would probably die if they tried my Advanced Intermediate workout. So here is a simple HoC oriented workout that is even less than my beginners workout.

pushups (as many as you can)
towel squats (as many as you can)
Chair Dips (as many as you can)
Full Chinups (as many as you can) Close grip all the way up and all the way down. Use a chair to assist you if you need it.

With the exception of Chinups, I hope most of you can do at least 10 of the rest of the exercises. If you can not do ten then just do what you can.

You will do this workout EVERY SECOND DAY preferably in the morning after a small snack (recommend one serving of all bran buds with water, not milk! or a whey shake). This doesn't have to be done in the morning but this will "charge" you up if done in the morning.

Every third workout add 1 rep

So the routine will look something like this:
Let's say you start and you manage to do 10 reps on each exercise.

Day1: 10
Day2: 10
Day3: 11
Day4: 11
Day5: 12
Day6: 12
Day7: 13
Day8: 13
and so on....

Even if you can not get the "extra rep" try... the next workout try again until you do then continue.
By day 33 (+/- 8 weeks of actual time) should be able to do 25 (again maybe not in chinups).

The workout in the beginning should not take you more than 10-15minutes by the 25 rep range it should be around 20 mins. Elite athletes can probably to the 25 rep range in about 10 minutes.

Episode: Appropriateness of Chewbacca impressions.

I know it is hard to believe when you're as popular as me and good with the ladies that I could be a geek. Well I am a geek and damn proud of it. But of course I am a different type of geek than most of you here. As a lot of you know, I actually speak Klingon
fluently and wookie as well. So this adventure was with a very sexy geek girl that I well. (look at the third segment of the x axis). She thought it was incredibly funny.

Except in my case it was more like a two hour relationship

50 Kettlebell swings (two armed)
25 Kettlebell Clean and press (each side)
25 Kettlebell Snatches (each side)
25 Claymore (or macebell or sledgehammer) swings (each side)
25 Claymore (or macebell or sledgehammer) swipes (each side)
25 Claymore (or macebell or sledgehammer) 10 to 2 (each side)
25 claymore thrusts (two handed exercise)
10 sets of 10 Sledgehammer tire whacks (each side)
500 foot tire flip
500 foot tire pull
500 foot tire tug

Target: 45 mins (if you are in really good shape, 30 mins)

I don't have a *real* macebell yet (N/A in Canada, and they are very expensive), I made one with an old bowling ball and a PVC pipe.
