This is why I love the OXBox gang. We will SO do all of these things.
It is no Steam Sale but there are deals to be had
Someone confiscate Coxxorz's wallet.
- Summer’s ultimate sale is back and running from July 5 through July 11. The Ultimate Game Sale will feature over 250 deals on Xbox titles and, for the first time ever, will include Windows 10 games and special pricing for Xbox One consoles.
As much as I hate to do this to The Fun Pimps, do not buy (on consoles)
There is no good way to say this beyond do not buy, particularly when zombie survival games are our preferred niche. 7 Days to Die is targeted directly at our niche. Still. Do not buy.
Here is the quick reason why:
7 Days to Die is a Steam Early Access game. Clearly marked. Yet, on Xbox, it is in the regular store, released as a complete game, unmarked as an Early Access game (Game Preview in Xbox terms). 7 Days to Die, very clearly, is a game preview game. Very clearly.
This is the worst case of pay to beta test that I have seen and, worse, it is in no way fair to the original developers, The Fun Pimps.
As much as I want to buy 7 Days to Die I find it difficult purely on principle. I don't want to reward this process. I don't want to show publishers that this kind of deceptive behavior is acceptable.
Sale does not start until July 5
Stolen verbatim from Major Nelson's blog.

Or Blackwalt and Graybush forget how to play zombie mode
So last night Graybush and I jumped into The Giant in Black Ops 3 and it did not go well. It did not go well in three separate attempts.
There is a picture of a Round 17 attempt after the jump and, while 17 isn't too bad, that was our third attempt. Our second attempt ended up somewhere between the above Round 5 and the below Round 17.
You all know how I am not one to point fingers, particularly in zombie mode... but just last week (three stories before this one) SeanMCR and I managed to get to Round 32. If only I could put together what was different...
And I had no idea

With the DLC The Crew gets a lot more Playful!
Somehow I missed this mode in my previous reading although technically it was added in a recent patch to The Crew: Wild Run. The Freedrive Stunts read like an ongoing series of Burnout Paradise's challenges. Selected on the fly and cooperative.
- When starting a FreeDrive Stunt, the game will give a “personal goal” or a “collaborative goal”. This means, when playing in a crew, sometimes everyone will have to get his own stunt done and other times, everyone will participate to get the challenge completed.
- Driving a certain distance.
- Drifting a certain distance.
- Jumping a certain distance.
- Staying in the air for a certain time.
- Near miss a certain number of vehicles.
- Doing wheelies.
- Smashing elements.
There are several types of stunts, among them:
And much more…
Note: I have not bought either the Wild Run or the season pass. So don't buy it expecting to join me. However, I could probably be convinced...
Let's play Minecraft Tower Defense
Past 10:30. PAST 10:30!
It was totally unreasonable and completely zombie mode related. SeanMCR had a daily challenge in Black Ops 3. Survive 15 rounds. Sadly it took us two attempts. But that second attempt was a great game, all the way to Round 32. Over twice what he needed.
I am not sure how SeanMCR managed to continue over the constant whining about bedtime but he did persevere and persevered well.
Rebellion has let us know that we will have to wait until 2017 for our latest hit of Sniper Elite.
- That's right, Sniper Elite 4 will be making its return on February 14th, 2017, coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC! Join Karl Fairburne in Italy, 1943 as he sets out to break some hearts...literally!
On the plus side I am pretty much guaranteed to have Valentines' Day plans next year...

This will be the Fourth Annual Occurrence of no one showing up!
The no one showing up may be related to how late I continually post these.
Today as a tribute to Father's everywhere be sure to show up on Xbox Live at 9:30ish to boot randomly around in The Crew. Why? Why ask why? Just show up.
Another reminder that this is a virtual LAN. It's not that I don't want to see you in person, it's that I don't want to see you in person.
Oddly, I am amazed that I posted it this early! The graphic was a complete rebuild as my backup drive failed.
I can't say enough about this game. If you have the slightest interest in driving games you should be trying this
Supports four-player co-op as you drive around a massive re-creation of the US. Drive through New York, Colorado, the Grand Canyon.
I have so much to say I don't know where to start! Some totally random thoughts after the original launch trailer!
