E3 2020 cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns
Stupid Corona Virus just wants to suck the joy out of everything...
The news release from the E3 Expo Website is after the break.
HoC Random Deal of the Day - 02292020
The full version of Dead Alliance is on sale for $5.84. For two more days!
We originally talked about dodging a bullet when we didn't buy Dead Alliance when it first came out.
However at $5.85 CAD for the full version supporting 2-8 player online coop it might be worth overlooking the 43% metacritic rating. There is a separate multiplayer only edition at $3.89. Don't buy that version.
I accept that it still may not be worth the $5.84 but I figure it's worth the experiment at less than $6.
And you can never go wrong supporting fully cooperative zombie killing games.
Never.
HoC Random Dancing Hitler of the Day - 02212020
Cause why not?
This is an Accolades Trailer for Zombie Army 4: Dead War released by Rebellion. Seems in line with the Zombie Army THRILLogy! video they released for Zombie Army Trilogy.
HoC Random Halo? Nerf? of the Day - 02202020
How about both?
I have moved away from Nerf darts toward Hasbro's Nerf Rival Line but this new Nerf version of the Halo Assault Rifle (MA40) may make me go back...
The highlight of the new lineup is a $50 motorized version of Halo's iconic assault rifle. The MA40 will come with 10 darts and a clip mechanism that automatically feeds the projectiles into the blaster's chamber.
HoC Random Too Much Nerf of the Day - 02152020
Is there really such a thing as too much Nerf?
While wandering through the aisles of ToysRUs (Canada) looking for a Valentine's Gift for Guba (where else would you look?) we accidentally stumbled upon the Nerf section.
As Rolly asked the question "I can't see any of the good Rivals like the Prometheus," he found me standing two end caps down. With my eyes gaping and my chin on the floor.
Both the Nerf Rival Nemesis and the Nerf Rival Prometheus were on clearance. The Nerf Rival Prometheus, including 200 Rival rounds as well as a rechargeable battery, was on sale for $104.98. The 100 round, no rechargeable battery, Nerf Rival Nemesis was on for $69. Either of these was an incredible deal but there was no way we were walking away without a Nerf Rival Prometheus. We did, however, need to get a cart to haul the sizeable box around the store.
HoC Random Brain Scan of the Day - 02152020
As there quite clearly is activity this is not Stormblade's brain (obviously)
Technically the correct name for this is Quantitative electroencephalography (or qEED). You can read more at qEEGsupport or just consider it a brain scan which is what I did.
Electroencephalography (EEG) is the measurement of electrical patterns at the surface of the scalp which reflect cortical activity, and are commonly referred to as “brainwaves”. Quantitative EEG (qEEG) is the analysis of the digitized EEG, and in lay terms this sometimes is also called “Brain Mapping”. The qEEG is an extension of the analysis of the visual EEG interpretation which may assist and even augment our understanding of the EEG and brain function.

EBGames eventually fulfilled my pre-order for Zombie Army 4
I seems it was the least they could do
No compensation or anything. I am just supposed to consider myself fortunate that they tracked down a copy in Edmonton for me and shipped it to Ottawa.
Not as if I ordered it two weeks in advance or anything. How dare I order something online and expect to have no issues. I know! How dare I!
Although, to be fair, the District Manager did explain how they were going to prevent this from happening to future customers. Too bad for me, but I am glad I could help out future customers.
You would think that as a game selling company, EBGames would understand the importance of release dates but apparently not. They definitely didn't seem to care that they had missed it by an entire week. Seven days. A totally independent release date for other, non-Zombie Army games.
Once again, as stated previously, EBGames is training me to shop elsewhere.
And I do, for a lot of things. Unfortunately they were the only online retailer offering the Collector's Edition of Zombie Army 4:Dead War
HoC Random Deal of the Day - 02112020
The digital version of The Division 2 is on sale for $3.99
That's less than $5 for a AAA game. I paid full price and wasn't upset as I put a ton of time into the game. You should grab this if you have any interest at all.
Tom Clancy's The Division® 2 on sale for $3.99.
I have no idea where Pwn Call is either.
The Collectors Edition wasn't my only Zombie Army 4 pre-order
But unlike my Zombie Army 4: Dead War Collector's Edition this arrived on its release date
Just like it was supposed to EBGames, just like it was supposed to.
A companion novel to Zombie Army 4 previously announced by Rebellion. I pre-ordered it after I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition and just like it was supposed to, it showed up on release day.
And I was even reading it on release day along with anyone else that may have purchased it.
The official announcement for the novel is included after the break.
EBGames failed me yet again
To no one's surprise EBGames did not have my pre-order
I am starting to bond more with the no pre-order campaign
Be sure to check out my previous story about EBGames making it difficult to pre-order the Zombie Army 4: Dead War Collector's Edition.
This is technically different as they just don't have any copies of the Collector's Edition of Zombie Army 4: Dead War (at least in Ottawa). They did have many copies of the regular edition but as I don't need two copies of the game I am just waiting for my Collector's Edition to eventually show up. Hopefully.
Yes, this does mean everyone else can play it on release day without me. Once again on the outside looking in. My self-esteem is just fine thank you. ...sob...
Launch Trailer: Zombie Army 4: Dead War
Working on getting out to EBGames to pick up my copy...
...with my ZOMBIE SHARK!
A New Cooperative Rainbow Six has been leaked
Rainbow Six Quarantine should be releasing sometime in 2020
A year and a half ago I wrote about a Rainbow Six Siege Mode that we had totally missed. It included a three player co-op game mode, called Outbreak, where operators fought against an army of grotesque infected enemies.
A cooperative Rainbow Six mode.
It seems like Ubisoft has turned this mode into a fully stand alone, cooperative game called Rainbow Six Quarantine. Since Herd of Cats has always had a great relationship with Rainbow Six games this has jumped onto our most anticipated games list. Which will be pretty sparse once Zombie Army 4 releases next week.
Some tiny bit more information available after the break along with the E3 teaser trailer:
