Emma, Le Trefle

I found this more entertaining when I substituted "Guba" every time he said "Emma."

HoC Random Care Package of the Day – 01212014

By Blackwalt - Posted on 21 January 2014

Hello? God's Country? We have a package for you

So. Funny Story.

Shortly after we published the article about Team HoC Ghosts and the polar fleece Ghost masks included a conversation ensued. A conversation involving SeanMCR and how the mask might actually be useful where he lived.

Fair point.

Blackwalt: "Send me your Snail Mail address and I will ship one off to you."

SeanMCR: "I'll fire it off to you first thing in the morning."

Which is when I stopped thinking about it. Particularly since the promised email never arrived.

Or so I thought.

I am thinking "Dead Rising 3" was significantly broken

By Blackwalt - Posted on 20 January 2014

Dead Rising 3 was a major Xbox One launch title

So they released a small patch for the exclusive Xbox One game Dead Rising 3 today. Apparently it includes fixes, online compatibility, and sets up for future DLC. Even with all this everything was squeezed into a paltry 13 GB.

Yes, that is a G followed by a B. It is not a typo. Thirteen gigabytes. For a patch.

Thirteen gigabytes. For a patch.

Keep in mind the average Xbox 360 game install is around 4 GB. There is no way this bodes well for the future of gaming.

"No problem," says any future developer, "we'll fix it in a patch."

Or as Capcom seemingly did, just replace the entire game.

Ironman before he was Ironman!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 18 January 2014

Again with his sidekick Sting! Before... who was already Sting

For the sake of completion here is Robert Downey Jr. singing with Sting on the previously mentioned episode of Ally McBeal.

Yes that is Pee Wee Herman.

I included the Spanish subtitles for A Troll.

I do seem to remember watching this on the original air date. I am sure Guba made me...

Essentially Ally is mad at Ironman because he misses her birthday party. He is secretly representing Sting and can't tell her. When the Sting case ends early and Ironman can still make Ally's party Sting offers to help him apologize and make it up to Ally. The whole song is a surprise.

This episode aired April 30 2001. It was season 4, number 20 and was titled Cloudy Skies, Chance of Parade.

Not really a secret

By Blackwalt - Posted on 17 January 2014

I accept that it may seem we are picking on SeanMCR (and we are) but he was fully complicit in the conversation that led to this statement. And the statement about Coxxorz always being contrary. Or belligerent. Or both.

The conversation occurred last Sega Nite between Coxxorz, Graybush, myself and SeanMCR. While we were playing Borderlands 2

One possible reason why nobody is earning any points in the current Clan War

By Coxxorz - Posted on 16 January 2014

Except of course for our clan. We're not earning any points because nobody is frigging playing.

Ironman! With his sidekick Sting!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 15 January 2014

They sing and stuff

I am totally unfamiliar with the Ally McBeal episode they mention (at the link below). And I totally did not have a conversation with Coxxorz about that specific Ally McBeal episode just last week. I didn't! That conversation was two weeks ago.

What can we do to bring Nazi Zombie Army to consoles?

By Blackwalt - Posted on 13 January 2014

I am doing what little I can think of...

Petitions? I should look into that. Spam the developer? Well... can't see that ending well.

Support the developer by purchasing the base product of Nazi Zombie Army? That would be Sniper Elite V2 by the way. Well, why not? That actually sounds fairly positive.

Okay, let's do that:

Done. I even replied to this tweet from Jason Kingsley - Co Founder, CEO, Creative Director of Rebellion.

Releasing March 2014.

Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 is already out

By Blackwalt - Posted on 10 January 2014

As a follow up to my Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 1 story

Experience a terrifyingly intense co-op campaign for up to four players in this gut-wrenching sequel to Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army.

World War 2 Europe is overrun by legions of the undead.

You must find mankind’s salvation deep in the twisted bowels of Berlin by securing the sacred artifacts that unleashed this damnation, every step paid in blood as players work together against impossible odds and descend further into the demon-infested city and the terrifying Führerbunker itself.

Tackle the campaign online in co-op for up to four players, or embark on the twisted missions alone if you’ve got the bottle.

Featuring new enemies, new environments, blood curdling surprises and the return of the infamous X-ray kill cam, Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 will satisfy even the most bloodthirsty of zombie hunters.

PC only. It's on Steam. A teaser video is available after the break.

Don't let Sleeping Dogs lie

By Blackwalt - Posted on 09 January 2014

Because it is free right now!

The Xbox Live January Games with Gold includes Sleeping Dogs available until January 15th.

This is a great game and you should grab it while you can.

Those of you dedicated readers (all of you, I know) will remember my extremely positive coverage of Sleeping Dogs last January:

Brilliant!

Pikmin of the day

By RocketRoland - Posted on 09 January 2014

Today it's purple pikmin. These pikmin are super strong and cannot be scared by mitites. They are really heavy. When you throw them in pikmin 2 [in pikmin 3 they are good for carrying things but combat nope] they are beasts at combat.

Btw purple pikmin are found in the Emergence Cave in pikmin 2 and only in missions and bingo battles in pikmin 3. That's all you need to know about these pikmin. Bye
