HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – Nine Days In
The HoC X-Com teams experiences true loss. The robot didn't make it
Engineering didn't have enough spare parts to rebuild Thunder-1. The brave SHIV provided exemplary service over three missions with five alien kills. He took the front line and drew fire to take the heat of his team mates. Colonel Q 'Cargo' Bert had this to say, "We'll miss that buckets of bolts. He was a true soldier and an important member of our team." He contiued on in a lower voice, "and a perfect replacement for the Colonel Blade guy as he (Thunder-1) could actually hit something."
When asked about Corporal S. Wag also KIA during 'Operation Empty Apollo' he responded, "who?"

HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – Eighth Day
On the Eight Day we rested
I'm just kidding. On the eighth day HoC X-com command fixed the Colonel Storm 'Nix' Blade problem. Although I am not sure calling it a problem is the right way to go. Let's just say the Colonel Blade's poor shot should no longer be haunting us.
That is, until we run out of motor oil...
PS- The Colonel's replacement is the one to the immediate right of Colonel Schafer.
HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – on the Seventh day
True tragedy strikes the time
No, not losing Lt. Morice 'Ghost' Revek, that wasn't a tragedy, is was more of an acceptable loss for a positive outcome. It was a tough mission that I went through a few times. Getting through it and only losing Lt. Revek made me happy. Well relatively. What kind of commander would I be if I left the good Lieutenant's corpse lying there on the ground while I went to pour myself a drink. Wait aminute, that is exactly what happened. Never mind.
HoC Random Dog of the Day – 08042013
A dog on Herd of Cats? Don't worry, that's no dog, that's Toby
Okay, technically still a dog, but a dog owned by an HoC member which kind of makes it okay.
Toby and his "I have no idea what I am doing" vibe pretty much matched the tone of yesterday's LAN Party. It was a lot of fun for the four attendees, it was just random. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – the Fifth day
Two heavies leave. Only one returns.
I don't know how else to say this, Cpl. Pwn Call (Coxxorz) is no longer with us.
It was a tragedy that hit the team hard. Well... most of the team. While the majority of the team returned quiet and mourning, newly promoted Cpt. Gray Bush was surprisingly jubilant. I am not saying that Cpt. Bush's promotion came over Cpl. Call's cold, dead body but there is a significant amount of circumstantial evidence and some suspicious timing.
HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – the third (?) day
I am too busy playing X-Com Enemy Unknown to write about X-Com Enemy Unknown
Please note there are two more casualties added into the banner. Those memorial X's are for A Troll and Snuffy D. A Troll will be missed. Snuffy D, well, not so much.
Technically there should be a lot more casualties on the list, Maj. Storm 'Nix' Blade (yes!) multiple times (yes!), Maj. Q 'Cargo' Bert, Sgt. Morice 'Ghost' Revk, Lt. I 'Mr. Clean' Ce, Sgt. Gray 'Casino' Bush, among others. But a weird thing happened.
I basically rage quit.
HoC X-Com Enemy Unknown – the first day
Who will be the first to die in action?
There is no easy way to say this. Rookie A. Fadumamai did not return from his first mission. It was tragic. And sad. Next mission please.
X-Com Enemy Unknown is a game I have been watching since it was first released last October. I was interested and the reviews were solid at 89%. But I waited. I decided to wait until it dropped in price.
