Interstellar Marines has moved onto Kickstarter
And they have made a last minute plea for funding
Many, many moons ago back in 2009 I posted this story about Interstellar Marines. I have followed their emails since then but haven't given them too much attention once consoles dropped off their primary production list.
However it still looks cool. They have released a small video "in a last-minute attempt to seize the worlds attention." It is included after the break.
Black Ops 2 FAIL
This will be my last Black Ops 2 post...ha!
Supreme disappointment. That's how I feel about the entire Black Ops 2 game.

Black Ops 2: Patch update
Here is a list of what the Black Ops II patch claims to have fixed
Xbox 360 patch notes:
- Made infrastructure and performance improvements to Live Streaming.
- Made streaming performance improvements to video playback in CODTV.
- Addressed an issue where flight range parameters for airborne vehicles could be deleted in the middle of a match due to a network interruption. This fix resolves the following symptoms reported by the community:
- Escort drone flying under the map
- Inability to call in the Dragonfire
- FHJ-18 weapon level is now increased by destroying Scorestreak vehicles and aircraft.
- Care Package/AGR canister exploit has been addressed.
- Patched a small map exploit in Aftermath.
- Addressed a rare situation that would cause the Emblem Editor menu to overlap other menus.
- Balance pass on spawn influencers to improve cases causing non-optimal spawning under certain conditions.
- Improved performance for emblem uploads to prevent an occasional hang. If there is an error connecting to servers during an upload, you will now be able to re-try your save.
- Emblems and Clan tags will now appear correctly on the Assault Shield when stowed on the back.
- Addressed all reported UI error code messages.
- Elite Clan Friends list no longer actively sorts players when their status is updated. The player list will refresh after closing and re-opening the tab.
- Improved a number of emblem icons in the Emblem Editor.
- Junkyard IV reward added to Calling Cards.
Black Ops 2: Network issues – take 3
Yesterday's patch doesn't seem to be much of a fix
While 30 seems to be yesterday's magic number it wasn't all sweetness and light. All of the images (except for one) were taken on the same server which started well and then... well... ended poorly.
Oddly the Call of Duty Elite site is reporting almost all of the match results incorrectly. Good thing I have pictures. I have determined that this means reported career Kill/Death ratios are obviously off and I have no faith in other "reported" career stats either.
uh WTF?
shake, shake, shake
Aliens: Colonial Marines. I wasn't really interested until...
...I saw the Collectors Edition Powerloader Figurine
Aliens: Colonial Marines is developed by Gearbox Software, the guys that do Borderlands so I expect great co-op. I also remember playing a great Aliens game on the PC.
But I think I will be passing on this one. A listing of everything in the Collectors Edition and a video of Survivor Mode are included after the break.
Black Ops 2: Network issues – SeanMCR???
How does SeanMCR fix all my network problems?
So I squeezed in a little Black Ops II before catching up with SeanMCR again and I would say my network issues are not totally resolved.
16-21, 15-17, 2-8, 15-31, 8-7.
Not to mention the new "issue" where as a single player I keep getting slotted in to fill up matches as they end. Of course, the reasons the matches have space is the losing players have abandoned the game. So not only do you get slotted in without a choice. You are placed on the losing team with no time to do anything about it. Thanks for that additional defeat on my record btw. For some reason you never get placed on the winning team seconds before the game ends. Nope, just the losing team.
Anyone Else?
Can anyone else picture these things happening to me?

Black Ops 2: Network issues
Cause all is not well in Call of Duty land
Anyone who has played Black Ops II in the past week, with us or online with others, has had to deal with the litany of bitching and complaining about the new networking behind the Black Ops II multi-player engine. It's a world where everyone sounds like Hardwood and SeanMCR. No one is winning battles they should, deaths are prolific, and kills that should be aren't.
During the first day my kill ratio was solid. I was winning more than I was losing. After Day 1 though... not so much. I was never one to rage quit until Black Ops II where some games it was impossible to buy a kill. Emptying a clip into someone from behind only to have them turn and kill you with one bullet was getting old. Stabbing kills became no existent.
So yesterday I decided to look it up and check if others had solutions. Obviously it was working for some people. People on the other team but still.
Time to see if my network could be adjusted.
