Gamerzines: Slant Six just doesn't understand

By Blackwalt - Posted on 22 March 2012

“having a hard time figuring out why this game is getting such bad reviews”

Slant Six, the developer of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City doesn't understand all the negative review scores.

Speaking on Twitter, the developer appeared to agree with a commenter who said that they were “having a hard time figuring out why this game is getting such bad reviews”.

“Us too,” replied Slant Six. “We’re listening to the players though and they seem to like it and that is the most important thing.”

On a separate note, while Metacritic is holding steady at 54%, Gamerankings has jumped an entire percentage point to 52%.

Day two: Operation Raccoon City

By Blackwalt - Posted on 21 March 2012

Raccoon City has gone to the... well... Raccoons

I know, I was surprised too.

So. It's a raccoon.So. It's a raccoon.

I found this while playing the first mission. I did not know I was looking for it. The whole game has that 'figure it out for yourself' vibe. Except for where to go next. The game hits you over the head early and often with that information.

    "Go this way."

"But I want to look around."

    "Go this way."

    "what's in this room?"

    "Go this way."

"Am I supposed to be searching for things?"

    "Go this way."

I am not about to recommend the purchase of Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City to anyone just yet. Except for three of you and you know who you are. The rest of you can probably figure it out.

Day one!

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City special edition open box

Although it's not really a box per se, it's a steel book case.

My first step was to light up my Raccoon City sign so that I would be able to easily find my gaming room office. Cause some days that's harder than others.

I may have something in my grubby little paws
