Left 4 Dead co-op LAN party – Nov. 21st

As we all know Left 4 Dead will be released November 18th, 2008 and it is primarily built around a 4 player coop mode.

We have pre-organized our four person team of Zombie bait: Blackwalt, Coxxorz, MoriceRevek and Stormblade (remotely).

Our plan, such as it is, is to gather with our supplies and weaponry at Moricerevek's place outside the airport and set up for an entire day of Zombie killing... and being killed.

This involves the four of us taking the day off of work. Yes a vacation day. And meeting at MoriceRevek's shortly after noon. The delay until noon is to allow for time to collect Coxxorz.

It must be in the genes

So over the past few months we have been inheriting a bunch of kids toys as some close friends have been cleaning house. Most recently Rolly received a Vtech Talking Whiz Kid Plus which is basically a small toy laptop. Rolly calls it his computer (slightly mispronounced) and uses it to make beeping noises, price toy cars, and process credit cards.

It has moved from his play area to his bedroom and to his bed. In short, he likes it.

Nothing like more Left 4 Dead coverage to wipe that Gears of War 2 taste out of our mouths. Kotaku has an article up called, accurately enough, Why Left4Dead Versus Isn’t Horde Mode.

It's a lengthy read but goes in-depth into the Versus mode of Left 4 Dead. I know, I know, we only really care about the co-op mode but it's nice to know that other modes exist.

Well seems like Q-bert is out for the week. Therefore I shall do the honours of starting off the review thread for Heroes S03 E05.
