Big things planned within the Rockstar Social Club
Rockstar Games is announcing their plans to tie in Red Dead Redemption with upgrades to their online Social Club.
- For two years now, the Social Club (www.rockstargames.com/socialclub) has been our private club for players to track their game progress and stats, compete on leaderboards, unlock exclusive game content, and take part in official multiplayer events with live stream and chat.
With Coxxorz, it's a love/hate relationship

Five thousand one hundred and ninety five. Yes, I do have it down to an exact number.
And here's why.
On May third at 4:26 AM Coxxorz sent me an email, subject "Price error?", about a Lego site price error and it was a price error – a very major one at that. Instead of applying a 25% discount, Lego priced certain items at 25% of cost. A significant savings for higher priced items.
At 4:30 AM. So you know I got right on that... at 9:30 the next morning, well after everything had been corrected and, you know, SOLD OUT! Thanks for the perfect timing.
Coxxorz, however, bought two of everything. Including an item that he knew I would kill for. When he told me that Lego had shipped two of them for him, I almost did (kill someone that is). Right there and then. No jury in the world (of Lego fans) would have convicted me.
He then stated five simple words that, unknowingly to him, kept him among the living:
- "One of them's for you."
Whoops. Let's tuck that blunt instrument away. "What's behind my back? Nothing. Nothing... tell me more."

- There are plenty of other ways to enjoy Red Dead Redemption without touching the main storyline. My goal when I sat down for a day of RDR was to play as few missions as possible and spend the bulk of my time wandering the world and finding trouble. There's a lot to see and a lot to do. I didn't go into everything that's out there, waiting for curious adventurers. You can discover those on your own when Red Dead hits store shelves later this month.

Picking up some stuff for the weekend.
Goto the cash. And the young lad at the cash asked me form my ID VBG3 starts laughing.
So I asked him: "Are you checking to see if I am old enough to date your mom?"

It appears that Best Buy, and perhaps others, will be giving out these fancy Red Dead Redemption playing cards during the midnight launch of the PS3 and Xbox 360 Western by Rockstar Games.

It's a horde of Zombie Satellites. I know, I was also disappointed. I was hoping for an invasion of Nazi Space Zombies.

Lost Planet 2 — Pass
I put a lot of work into not buying this
So I have talked about Lost Planet 2 a couple of times, here and here.
I liked the 4 player co-op, the mechs and the giant creatures that you battle. I also still remembered the $4.06 that I paid for the first Lost Planet. And it was worth that price.
But I had pretty much decided to pass on Lost Planet 2 as it was originally coming out close to Crackdown 2 (early July) and the official release date ended up one week before Red Dead Redemption.
When was I ever going to play Lost Planet 2?
And then. AND THEN. Coxxorz Bargain Corner posted the Walmart $39.83 deal for Lost Planet 2.
So I spent the last week researching this problem for you. No need to thank me. I do it all for you.
