Showdown: Xbox One vs Xbox 360 Party setup
With the recent transition of Herd of Cats to Xbox Ones there has been a lot of complaining about the Xbox Live Party system. Not just about how it is broken. Not just about how we have had to stop using it. But about the interface around it and how long it takes to setup in comparison to the simplicity of the Xbox 360 party system. As Guba put it best, "Rolly can set up a party!" Yes, quickly, and he is nine years old.
Is the Xbox One party system really that much slower? More confusing absolutely, but slower?
Let's find out...
Treyarch is teasing Zombies... I mean a Zombie Announcement
Cause teasing Zombies would just be silly. And dangerous.
Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 developer Treyarch is teasing some sort of announcement on Wednday, and it has to do with zombies. The developer took to Twitter to tease information of a live-stream that will take place this Wednesday, February 4.

Alternate Xbox One warning label
At least this one is more accurate
It appears that a lot of Xbox One owners' have a tendency to leave the "Do not move console without first removing any disc inside" warning label on the front of the console. Known as the HDMI label due to the large HDMI logo on it.
My recent story on An additional Option for adding storage to an Xbox One demonstrated that I still had mine in place although I did remove it shortly afterward.
Coxxorz pointed out that a warning by Microsoft about the poor Xbox One interface would be more truthful.
So here it is.
A higher resolution, properly sized version for printing is available after the break.
HoC Opinion: Digital versus Hard Copy
Herd of Cats have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of digital media versus hard copy previously however some recent occurrences had me flip flopping on my previous opinion. Up until now I have always been a staunch supporter of hard copies without understanding the interest in digital copies.
An additional Option for adding storage to an Xbox One
Collective Minds Xbox One Media Hub
We had a previous article about Adding External Storage to an Xbox One. It was well received and well commented. I recently found another more streamlined solution and wanted to share that option with you as well. I have picked one up purely in the interest of testing.
The Xbox One Media Hub adds three USB ports to the front of your Xbox One and includes a storage bay for a 2.5in Hard Drive. It snaps seamlessly onto the left side of an Xbox One connecting through the side mounted USB port.
Pictures of my before and after connection are available after the break.

A useful anti infantry device. However, it has a small area of activation so positioning is important.

Xbox Live is down for Xbox One users
Technically, logging in to Xbox Live is broken, Xbox Live is just fine...
I would like to know who told Microsoft that it is Sega Nite!
