Exo Boring

By SeanmcR6 - Posted on 28 January 2015

I wish I had time to do some screen caps and write up a review...but here's my thoughts on Exo Zombies posted as a comment on Kotaku's write up

Boring. That's how I describe Exo Zombies.

My clan and I have been huge fans of the previous Zombie content in COD games. Some of the clan only play zombies. We all agree the one key addition to the game that makes it so enjoyable to play, over and over and over, is the side mission(s). There is a goal or achievement. Something to do other than "just survive". Otherwise it's no different than survival/horde mode. Some people like that I suppose, but I find it boring. I only played exo survival mode to get to the zombie map. Once I had reached that achievement, I didn't feel the need to play it anymore and I haven't since.

Captain America Civil War Memes

By Akuf - Posted on 27 January 2015

You have probably noticed (or not) that there have been several hilarious Steve Rogers vs Tony Stark Captain America Civil War memes on the internet.

I think this one (thus far) wins. Also, in an unrelated note could be used for Revek as well.

:D

Exo Zombies recognized my DIBS!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 27 January 2015

Sorry SeanMCR. Well... no, not really

How can you argue with that?

Yes first try! I did not have to keep relaunching the game. Not that I wouldn't have, I just did not need to.

Sadly, it could happen

HoC Random Call of Duty Reminder of the Day – 01272015

By Blackwalt - Posted on 27 January 2015

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC pack now available

Ignoring the 6.73 GB size of the DLC be aware that there is a 1703 MB update required before you can download the DLC from the in-game store (required if you are a season's pass holder).

The Xbox 360 DLC size is a paltry 1.13 GB. Just for comparison.

On a totally unrelated note, does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a large external hard drive?

The Weapons of Zombie Army Trilogy: Rifles

By Blackwalt - Posted on 27 January 2015

The Rifles of Zombie Army Trilogy:

All the rifles of Zombie Army Trilogy seem to be sniper rifles (or sniper varients). Only to be expected from a game derived from the Sniper Elite series.

    Gewehr 43

This German rifle has the highest rate of fire available. Its semi-automatic action is complimented by having the highest zoom level, though a low muzzle velocity means wind and gravity effects are amplified.

Good thing they aren't releasing any major DLC soon...

This happened while trying to get onto Live for multi-player and again when trying to get onto Live for the Call of Duty store from in-game.

HoC Random Completionist of the "Next" Day - 01262015

By Blackwalt - Posted on 26 January 2015

Someone may have been annoyed at being left behind

Last night I found SeanMCR playing Ghosts: Extinction solo. When I joined him I didn't catch everything but some of his cursing sounded like "bastards...mumble, mumble... achievement without me...mumble..." but I may have misheard.

SeanMCR and I managed to get through two barriers in Point of COntact before Graybush came online and joined us late. Pulling a "Coxxorz" so to speak. Named after someone's habit of joining us on the last hive or event and getting a completed mission (and some achievements) out of two minutes of play.

You may mock but two seconds after clearing the last hive and preparing for the final run? A "Coxxorz is online" message popped up.

HoC Random Completionist of the Day - 01252015

By Blackwalt - Posted on 25 January 2015

It started as a speed run for teeth and ended up an Achievement run

Last night Graybush challenged me to a speed run to collect teeth in Extinction: Point of Contact. We are in a effort to get me my 200 teeth to unlock Master Scavenger. Our second attempt was successful earning 13 teeth for Graybush and 14 teeth for Blackwalt. Blackwalt's total is now 145 teeth. 55 away.

Well, that was successful but two other things stood out.

The Weapons of Zombie Army Trilogy: Shotguns

Shotguns!

I have to admit my first big disappointment about Zombie Army Trilogy when I discovered the game only has two different shotguns. They call themselves a zombie game!

The Shotguns of Zombie Army Trilogy:

    12 Gauge Shotgun

A compact, Single barrel, pump action shotgun. It sports a 6-round tubular magazine and is loaded with 12-gauge shells, making for good close quarters crowd control.

The Story of Zombie Army Trilogy

By Blackwalt - Posted on 24 January 2015

I do so have a plan! It's random!

It is possible that I may have mocked the writing behind Zombie Army Trilogy. To be fair, this style of game does not require much of a plot or story. I only posted a single paragraph the last time. Here are all three paragraphs of the story in their entirety.

    Introduction

Berlin, 1945. In a final desperate act, Hitler has activated a secret plan that has raised all of his fallen troops as zombies and unleashed them on a war-torn Europe. Now the undead horde grows larger night by night and all hope for the world seems lost.

Four unlikely companions from all sides in the war band together. First just fighting to survive, they soon discover that only they can dare to discover how Hitler’s Plan Z was executed and maybe put an end to the nightmare.

Every step of their journey must be paid for in blood and the heroes work together against impossible odds. From the zombie-filled streets and tunnels of Berlin, to the outlying villages and forests of Germany, they take on the Nazi Zombie Army.
