Database Wars Coming for the XBOX 360
Today Microsoft and Bungie Studios, makers of the Halo game series, have announced a new title: Database Wars. This new title is a first person shooter game that requires database security and security analysis skills in a futuristic Virtual Reality network.
WTF????
HD not so HD again!
So I woke up and wandered downstairs to see what Rolly and Guba were up to.
Turned out they had broken into my new HD DVD player before I did, watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
And evidence suggested that the conversion to HD did not improve the film.

Battlefield: Bad Company, *sigh* :(
I heard about this recently. That EA is going to let people BUY more weapons for this game. What a wonderfully stupid ass idea that is. Money whoring EA. I have seen this done before in games and well as you may expect it ruins them. An example was the great online game called NavyField which was free, except people could pay for ships if the wanted. These payed for ships were a) smaller, making them harder to hit, and b) had way more poweful guns. Read more
Seeing things
Ok I need to stop talking the cheap drugs, even though I can get cheap drugs.
I swear every time I come to the site today it looks different.

I will PWN you ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!
Useless crap I've done with my Wii since last week
1. Getting Bluesoleil and a Bluetooth USB dongle to mate with the wiimote.
2. Building a Wii infrared emitter from mouse parts.
3. Playing Portal with the wiimote using GlovePIE (Hint for MacHeads: Darwiin)
4. Getting Wii points to buy the Internet Channel
5. Using the Wii as a Media Center using Orb
My Eyes Hurt ...
There are some things that shouldn't be put together for any length of time.
1) An obsessive-compulsive personality
2) A mindboggingly addictive video game
3) An enclosed space including an XBox, a monitor, a chair, a fridge and a toaster oven
4) A total lack of external commitments

A hard lesson in growing up male
Well I had hoped Rolly would have made it past 2.5 years in age before he started getting hard lessons in growing up male.
He hit one of life's first milestones on Sunday.
Getting stood up.
Yes his date for the Backyardigans bailed on him, one hours notice with one of your traditional excuses, "I am throwing up everywhere... but I still want to go, really."
Yes, sure you do. We believe little Snuffy D junior, we believe. You little heart breaker you.
OMG This is a GOOD GAME!
Ok, first let me say that I am most certainly behind the times writing this article, but let me explain the context a little.
I got my XBox360 well after the core HoC group did, and I spent most of the first few months just trying to catch up to them in the online games they played. Then came Halo3, COD4 and Burnout: Paradise in relatively short order, basically taking up all of my gaming bandwidth. There is currently a lull in the release of quality multiplayer games (it looks like Fronlines: Fuel of War is going to be a dud), so I decided to fire up eBay and pick up a couple of games that fell under my radar.
So I bought Gears of War and Assassin's Creed. Read more
Out with the "old and broken..."
...and in with the new 120GB hotness!
Guess what was in my package?
It was a Microsoft Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit. It was! It was! It was!
Miracles do happen.
After going over everything very careful I initiated the transfer and very patiently (NOT!) waited the 1 hour and 3 minutes for it to transfer my 20GB data over to my 120GB drive.
Preparing for disappointment
So Guba sends the following information in an email:
- You got a package in a brown diskette envelope.
Says it is a CD and Cable.
You all know about my nightmares with Microsoft and sadly, there is a chance that this "CD and Cable" is my Microsoft Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit. A chance.
Those crazy Japanese are at it again...
...with the SeXBOX and Wiin-Mote
What will they think of next.
Our clan on commercial
With the Superbowl playing this weekend, this is of course the time for Superbowl commercials. While viewing some from previous years, I cam accross this gem. It actually looks like us playing any game.
