A new Ghost Recon?
That's something to look forward to. Of course, I just hope they don't frak it up like MWII.
Walmart clown..
Not quite Pennywise but funny none the less
This is a great idea
I have a great deal of sympathy for this guy. There are several titles on my shelf I want to play and just haven't gotten around to. Do you have any idea how long a season is in 'Be a Pro' mode in NHL2009?
2009 Pintsie's – Blackwalt's Pick for HoC Original Content of the Year
There was a huge amount of original content this past year and I had a selection of nine stories in my favourites. It took some work to narrow it down to three choices.
Aku Live at Yuk Yuk's
Tentative date is March 30th.
Once the date is solid will post it.

I kid, I kid.
Stone's War — An upcoming World War II Zombie movie
March 22: Nazi Zombies
- In the frozen arctic forests, Captain Martin Stone is leading a finely-trained, elite platoon of American and Finnish soldiers as they attack an enemy bunker. Underestimating the enemy's strength, they are quickly beaten back into the forest. As they try to regroup, they are suddenly attacked by the same soldiers they had just killed a few minutes earlier. Forced to flee deeper into Russian territory, they discover one of the most terrifying secrets of World War II and realize they have woken a far more deadly enemy. Death is no longer the final frontier.
More info available at First Showing and a trailer after the jump.
2009 Pintsie's – Blackwalt's Pick for HoC Game of the Year
Borderlands
When I think of the game I had the most fun playing this year, and that I played most with other clan members Borderlands is the only 2009 game that pops up.

The 2009 Herd of Cats Pintsie awards!
Kind of...
So here's the thing. On January 9th (already late) I sent an email to the other three HoC admins:
- I have spoke of this [2009 Pintsie's] but didn't really feel like doing the same mass as last year.
- Favourite Game of the Year
- Favourite Original Content of the Year
- Favourite Event of the Year –
- Favourite Video Content of the Year:
- Favourite Random thing of the year (I threw that in there cause I couldn't pick a fifth thing...)
I was thinking of something more organic and gradual.
Only five awards but picked by everyone individually.:
I also sent a list of previous Awards list and spoke of comparisons to the way Joystiq did their awards.
And then:
Battlefield Bad Company 2 question
So as a Clan...
Are we looking at getting this game? Has anyone (Coxxorz?) seen a deal?
The pre-order (limited edition) offers additional weapons but they also have the much despised early access to one of their multi-player modes (Similar to Army of Two: the 40th Day).
- The North American console versions of DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are saddled with an unusual multiplayer restriction: for the first month following the game's release, only those who preordered the game from GameStop will have access to the game's "Squad Rush" multiplayer mode.
The mode is an objective-based battle between two teams of four players each. Those with preorder-based access will also be able to invite their friends to play with them throughout the 30-day exclusivity period.
Fallout: New Vegas - Coming this fall
Not exactly a sequel or expansion pack to Fallout 3, but it's still a Fallout game.
From the article: "Fallout New Vegas was announced by Bethesda last year. The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, a studio comprised of many developers who worked on earlier Fallout games."
And will the gameplay feature pause-and-select-glowing-parts action? Probably not: "The trailer does not reveal anything about the gameplay, though Bethesda's head of marketing and communications, Pete Hines, told Kotaku last year that New Vegas would be a 'role-playing game experience'"

Whoopsie: GameInformer review score leaked on box art
Pretty strong talk toward Bad Company 2
Not sure if GameInformer wanted their review score leaked early but Respawn Action didn't seem to care.
- On the back of the Battlefield Bad Company 2 box, the score given to it by Gameinformer is shown.
Congrats to DICE and Bad Company 2, as the game gets a 9.5 out of 10. This certainly shows a lot of promise to those who were still borderline on getting the game.
Also, don't forget the first releases (which are all LE editions) contain downloadable content as well!
Does make me wonder how far in advance the review was written if it made it onto the box art? Did GameInformer review a final version or a pre-beta?
30 Commercial games released for free
This is kind of a cool article, and it has links to all of the games.
Swag should enjoy this since they are PC based, and they're free. FREE I tell you!
How many Halo Special Edition Faceplates do you need?
More than one according to Microsoft
So I have sent more than my fair share of broken Xbox 360s to Microsoft support. As I am sure we all have. And they list a lot of instructions for packing and shipping.
One of the important ones is "remove your hard drive and faceplate." You will not be getting a faceplate back.
