May 2009 Top Picks
Six pages of content for May despite a four day outage and Blackwalt's week off. Pretty good for us. No particular themes this month but Blackwalt's Xbox 360 RROD saga generated some content. No one read it but it was content.
Top May Stories by Read count:
- 177 reads – No title (It came from Colorado: the Return of (zombie) Stormblade)
- 173 reads – This is so bad...
- 129 reads – Quick show of hands...
Lowest numbers that we have had for a while. Welcoming back Zombie Stormblade, really poor humour that I wish I could have ignored... and everyone enjoying the misery of Blackwalt's third RROD.

Finally a good reason to have a Xbox 360

Petition to bring back the old Half-Pint logo
The new one looks sickly and bloated.
And besides, it doesn't match my beer mug, coffee mug, hat ...
Is it just me...
Or does the cat in our banner appear different to you?
Waiting...
Removed write up that was for a different comic. Coming soon.
Changed order at last second...
PS- Despite being OBVIOUS I shameless stole the Q-Bert drawing from one of Disaster Piece's comics. I verbally mentioned this to someone this morning and had planned on adding this update to the comic EXCEPT that I couldn't get into the site as it was still down from my office.
Woohoo! We're back baby!
And, as goes without saying, it was Q-Bert's fault.
So we just set a record for down time at over 72 hours. Particularly annoying for those of us that also use Q-Bert for email. (Myself, Guba, Stormblade). Kudos for Q-Bert for keeping us updated through Twitter although I am sure some of you didn't even notice. I would like to point out that refusing to update Twitter doesn't prevent you from reading Twitter. But its okay Luddite, really.
Q-Bert was over at my house on Saturday visiting with his family and shared a somewhat long and complicated diatribe about why my site is down. I share with you pretty much verbatim what I remember hearing and understanding.
Revek to declare bankruptcy
Yes, more E3 goodness for Xbox Live. This one will pretty much kill Revek, and possibly Storm too.
Xbox Live gets video store, Netflix, last.fm
It's not just Twitter, more stuff has been announced at E3.
HAHA
I love this guy's analysis on riverdale high

Australia knows a good game - on a budget.
And discovers something we already knew...
Saints Row rocks! Boom on a budget.
A writer for That Aussie Game Site writes about his late discovery of the original Saints Row.
A late discovery for us as well (with Saints Row 2) it's funny how a good game can sneak up on you. this guy talks about all the negatives he saw in the game, the fact it was a gift and sat in his closet for months, Until he was bored and finaly tried it:
- About six hours later I managed to talk myself into going to bed for at least two hours sleep before going to work.
