By Blackwalt - Posted on 01 December 2010

It maxed out at 559,000 plus.

It's still emptying as I post this.

It just passed 400,000 items left.

Zombie 101 tips direct from the source

The Official Call of Duty website is offering up Zombie 101 survival tips.

In a co-op game, each person should cover an entryway, and communicate at all times! Let your teammates know if you start getting overwhelmed. You never know which way they'll come from, so one person might get swarmed while the others are just waiting around. Once the zombies are clear, go up to the barrier and repair. This earns you points and holds back the next set of approaching zombies, in turn giving you more time to shoot and stab.

Communicate? What they hell kind of cheat is that? How do you enable it? Is there a code?

A Sad Day

By MauriceRevek - Posted on 28 November 2010

Today, we lost another great actor. Leslie Nielsen has passed away. Who can forget that great classic: "Airplane!". One of the great straight-man's will no longer grace us with his dead pan deliverie's of such great lines:

“Surely you can’t be serious!”
“I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley."

Suddenly, I feel like watching that movie again.

Revek's Deal? of the Day

By MauriceRevek - Posted on 28 November 2010

It seems Future Shop has an interesting one day only Trade-In deal tomorrow. Trade in 6 games for a $298 Dynex 32" HD-TV. Of course, the list of games are only those that have been released in the last 6 months, and only popular titles at that. So figure on average these games go for $60 each for a total of $360, not a bad deal for stuff that you have already played and are done with. I have 4 of the games listed as tradable, but am not ready to trade them in yet.

Speaking of Black Ops Playercards

By Blackwalt - Posted on 28 November 2010

I have been trying to create a classic Half-Pint emblem

Left: Classic Half-Pint: Right: Black Ops playercardLeft: Classic Half-Pint: Right: Black Ops playercard

This is what I have so far. It is my third major revision.

I have 11 of the 12 layers unlocked so far. My 8 layer only version was substantial weaker. The 12 layer will probably be used to block out the white triangle at the top.

My second revision didn't have that but the nose wasn't as good either.

Anyone else want to try? Please?

This hot and she kicks Lance ass too!

Gamepro has published a list of the top 32 XBox 360 games of all time. While some of the lower ranked titles I have never played or even heard of, the list gets pretty close in my books from 15 to 1. The order could be debated ad nauseum, but list is good. Read more

GameInformer stole our graphic!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 28 November 2010

I wouldn't mind so much if they had linked back to us but they didn't

I was surprised to see the Ban Hammer/Swastika Emblem graphic on GameInformer. Please note that they edited it to remove the Swastika so technically, they also changed our original work.

I was more surprised that it didn't link back to us. It is in a Member Blog but still some effort would have been appreciated.

There is a link immediately connected but it goes to an internal GameInformer story.

That Ban Hammer graphic is original work by the way. Not mine obviously and I accept the fact that I stole it from Coxxorz in the first place, but at least it was from our own site.

I am not saying I am perfect in linking back to other's work but I do try.

Examiner: 10 games to buy for friends you secretly hate

By Blackwalt - Posted on 28 November 2010

Or, you know, other clan members

I have no idea why I would post this story.

Examiner.com presents: 10 Games to Buy for Friends You Secretly Hate.

If you’re thinking about shopping for video games for your hate-friends, here are ten of the biggest flops of 2010 that will get the message across all too clearly. A punch to the back of the head or a box full of feces might be out of the question, but finding a new copy of any game on this list under the Christmas tree will say, “I hate you” just as effectively.

And on a completely unrelated note, I finished my Christmas shopping.

Doonesbury comic strip invaded by Zombies!

Well... technically Call of Duty Black Ops but still

This past week of Doonesbury has been about an Army Base essentially shutting down because Call of Duty Black Ops was released.

You can read from the start of the week here.
