So I found a repair guy...

When my Xbox 360 core died it was inches from the trash can. I had picked up the Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 as a replacement and I didn't need the core anymore.

In an apparent brain fart of epic proportions, I forgot to post this in the wee hours of the morning.

Those of you who know me know that I love eBay. I have made hundreds of purchases on eBay, including both of my XBox 360s, and have only had one bad experience that was eventually resolved. If you know what you're doing, you get great deals and great products. Also, the resellers don't tend to be morons.

Now, one of my 360s died last week and it is out of warranty. I decided the time had come to actually buy one new. So, as reported by Coxxorz and others, there were several XBox 360 deals this weekend. Walmart for $159 (Arcade). BB for $159 (Arcade) plus Fable II. There was even rumour of the 60GB version on sale at Costco for $199 (wild goose chase). Since I live in the boonies and didn't expect to be able to snag any of these, I had asked Graybush to pick one up for me if he could.

I need these guys to talk to my bank

Modern Warfare 2 error: Exceeded limit of 3584 'image' assets.

And it dropped me out of the game and party. Please note how I am just ignoring the image quality issue now.

So we were playing Modern Warfare 2 last night (I know. Instead of Borderlands) and yes we were having connection troubles and loading troubles. But I had not seen this error message before.

Not the first time it wasn't Microsoft's fault

So after a week of Xbox Live issues with my new Special Edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 Console I finally tried something that Microsoft Xbox support did not suggest. Something that I admit, I didn't think would be the problem.

Last night Graybush, Stormblade and I spurned Borderlands and went back to our original Zombie love, Call of Duty World at War. And we were glad we did.

So I am not sure how many of you realize that I purchased one of the two Special Edition Halo 3 Xboxs from Coxxorz' story. He didn't buy both.

And it hasn't worked for me. Reliably that is. I have been talking to MS support for the past week. More than normal. And it hasn't being going well. It works until I get kicked off Xbox Live. A problem when I am playing online.

More and more Canadian retailers are jumping on the Black Friday shopping band wagon, but this year seems particularly insane.

Yes, this video comes from a land down under, where women glow and men plunder.... or in this case don't play mature rated games. Why is that? Well Australia lacks a M+ rating for games (which they hypocritically have for movies), so certain games like Fallout 3 need to be 'censored' or be banned from sale in the country. This is coupled with the fact that games there can cost almost 100$ CND, and takes months to get there after everyone else had it.
