That camouflage controller skin works better than I thought

So (seriously) Stormblade was having a little trouble locating the Xbox controller for the Xbox 360 he was going to use. So much so that he wandered into my Xbox area and grabbed another controller (also camo skinned) from the wall. If he hadn't needed a battery for the new controller I never would have known there was an issue.

The October NPD results are in and Borderlands has enjoyed the best selling launch week in 2009 among all new video game IP. In spite of launching towards the end of the month and competing against the first full month of sales of the latest Halo sequel, Borderlands dominated the Xbox 360 for October taking the #1 best seller position for the platform.

So when Mad Catz first announced their officially licensed Modern Warfare 2 accessories my reaction was a resounding meh! The only accessory that I had any interest in was the Modern Warfare™ 2 Throat Communicator. I even mentioned it back in a September 10th story.

So with a substantial amount of EBGames gift card money available to me I went ahead and purchased one in time for the Herd of Cats Friday 13th Lan.

As you may recall, Wal-Mart had the Xbox 360 Arcade on sale for $149 not too long ago.

...I pick up the BluRay edition of Star trek at Best Buy just to snag the Enterprise! Why not? Same price as Future Shop and I get a cool displaycase/model to boot! Okay.. I'll probably put the disks in an actual DVD case and will have to go to the trouble of making cover art but a sweet deal to be sure. The pics from the web cam suck but the model is well detailed.

Well those of us old enough to remember the original. Will remember how good it was at least until you watch again as an adult and you wonder WTF? I actually watched this crap?

This new series is well, a little better, though the special effects are still pretty cartoonie. Though the plot is more or less the same as the original (thus far). ** SPOILERS ** Slight differences, like the aliens are in sleeper cells and have been on earth for many years planning.
