Police cars, pursuits returning to Burnout Paradise?
While I was always wondering where the police in Burout Paradise were hiding (as mentioned to Q-bert last night), apparently they might be leaving the doughnut shops soon via the new DLC.
Btw, does anyone know when the new island is coming out?
Final Fantasy XIII: Trailer
Yes, I realize that JRPGs are not very popular on this site, and I am not the biggest fan of them myself. But you have to hand it to the Japanese, they know how to make a what essentially is a contrasting, grandiose art piece. It's cool if anything else: Read more
Da nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah, Batguy!
Batman versus Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
You know I love anything with Batman in it. And I always suspected that Alfred was a closet Xbox Live addict.

Crackdown 1.5 in development by new Scottish developer Ruffian Games (previously mentioned as a Crackdown 2 possibility).
- It’s not going away, and it sounds as though you’re about to hear an awful lot more about it. Newly formed Scottish developer Ruffian is most certainly working on a new Crackdown game, says “rumour” today, and apparently it’s scheduled for the end of 2009 or early 2010.
Slightly more details available at Videogaming247.
I knew they were real!
I knew it!
There is an imminent Zombie attack in Austin, Texas. Which would seem odd cause I am thinking (as a potential Zombie) that I wouldn't want to raise an attack in a state that is so heavily armed. I'm thinking Canada would be a safer target. All you would be facing there would be hockey sticks and maple syrup. Oooo, spy maple syrup!
Some of the best comments came from the site supervisor:
...the hacker broke into the panels on each sign and bypassed the passwords before leaving five different zombie messages and even changing one of the passwords. Jones said he had to wait until 8 a.m. to call the manufacturing company to figure out how to override the hacker’s work.
...He speculated that the hacker could be a computer genius from UT.
In this case being a computer genius means that you can surf the internet to pick up this incredibly complex coding hack:
BSG Ep1 and Ep2 Review ** SPOILERS **
So, seeing as how I forgot to set my recording device I actually downloaded the episodes in very poor quality. But I think that was probably the high point. But then I could help but want to take a red hot fireplace poker and shove it where the sun don't shine because it would have been less painful. (ok Revek have your fun)
Did they hire soap opera writers???
Holy crap, I sorry to say that I was annoyed with over melodramatic BS.
I was intrigued with the fact that the 4 'new' cylons were from earth and when they were down there a lot of supposed memories came back to them. Read more
L4D: What exactly does Francis hate again?
I post this because we have often commented on how Francis hates everything...
And as an added bonus Chuck Norris is in it....
It's that time again...
It's gonna be a snowy one, so you might as well cancel any plans that involve real driving, order a pizza, and curl up with Burnout Paradise!
After all, it's our designated gaming night. Your wife/ho/Steve Jobs will understand. Read more

So I've been thinking....
Saint's Row 2
I know I'm not supposed to but...
I've been thinking about Saint's Row 2. It is a Grand Theft Auto knock off and we all know that GTA4 wasn't a complete favourite of HoC.
But Saint's Row 2 has developed the kind of grass roots, after release, community support and feedback that Crackdown had. The kind of feedback that made me purchase Crackdown. A purchase I will never regret. Crackdown is one of the four games I own that I has surpassed more that fifty hours of play time. A short list that includes Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Rainbow Six Vegas and Burnout Paradise. That's pretty good company.
Burnout Paradise: a looooonnnnng time between achievements
Mostly just posting something because of the lack of content
Yeah, the site is pretty dead but it is mostly because you guys suck. Anyway, more about Burnout Paradise. If you've been on live recently you may have noticed we are revisiting Paradise City. Mostly due to upcoming DLC but also related a couple of site stories here and here.
What's remarkable to me is the pickup of three more achievements.
Now I had a single aberration back in June 2008 where I picked up a measly 10g but almost all of my previous Burnout Paradise achievements were collected in January and February 2008. Exactly a year ago. That's unusual in any Xbox 360 game and shows the staying power of Burnout Paradise and the efforts that Criterion has gone to in keeping Burnout Paradise current and fun.

I don't take this as a good sign.
Yes I reused a graphic but it seemed appropriate.
