"Hello, Lego Marion"
"Lego Indiana Jones. I always knew some day you'd come walking back through my door."
Well, surprisingly in my goodie stash for Father's Day I received an Xbox 360 game – LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.
But the best gift for Father's Day was not the Xbox game itself but the four plus hours I spent playing it co-op with Guba.
Lego Marion, "Well, Jones, at least you haven't forgotten how to show a lady a good time."

It's light red!
Almost all of you know that we have been working on a playstructure Pirate Ship for Rolly in our backyard. You also know that it exists solely based on the hard work of Rolly's grandfather (Kudo's to my dad on Father's Day btw).
This weekend we started painting. On Saturday we finished with a white primer coat all over the ship. Blindingly all over the ship. It glows. Guba calls it our beached whale. And technically Q-Bert helped. The plank, one 2x4, and lots of verbal sarcasm. Right. I forgot. Thanks Q-Bert. That felt sincere didn't it?

Worst great game ever
Crack.com has an article up titled 5 Reasons GTA IV Is The Worst Great Game Ever Made.
- Like almost every other being on this planet with functional eyes and opposable thumbs, I've spent the last month playing Grand Theft Auto IV and neglecting my loved ones.

Boredom sets in. Hmmm, what would be cool to do with Gabba? I know! Water rockets!
So, I started researching water rockets. Man, there is a LOT of good stuff out there. Nothing that might kill me, though.... oh well. This could still be fun. Read more
A Conversation With My Nepheu
I am in Montreal this weekend for my sisters B-day and Father's day, and today I was driving around with my sister and my nepheu doing some shopping. While travelling to one of the stores, we had the following conversation. Read more
Darwinism in action
This is a compelling argument for supporting the proliferation of guns in the US - and the US only.
Helpful information for Revek
Because, you know, someday he's going to stop playing Sudoku on his XBox (which, from my perspective, is just wrong on so many levels). Odds are this is wasted information for him, but friends should always be trying to help those in need.
Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitor for only $499!!!
Yes, you read that right. TODAY ONLY, the Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP is on sale for just $499. This is the lowest price of any previous model years of the 24" UltraSharp line, and probably the best so far. As far as gaming goes, this is the one: perfect, sharp picture, bright colours, shitloads of inputs, USB hub card reader, etc. Hook up your computer and console, and switch between the two with the touch of a button! There's even optional speakers available (but they suck).
Google can't find everything
What to play this week?
It's too late for this week, but I'd like to suggest a game for an upcoming Retro Sega Nite: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I know a lot of you loved the PC version, and some of you might recall that it came out for original Xbox a while back. The good news is it's backwards (forewards?) compatible with the 360, and can be found in Blockbuster Video's clearance bins (near the cash, usually) for $4.99. So pick one up!
New 3G iPhone already up for auction
Unique Auction is already publicizing a 3G Apple iPhone on their auction site. For those of you who aren't familiar with UA's system, bidders attempt to place the highest unique bid on an item. Products are listed at 1/10th of their retail value, so bidding is fierce for that coveted window.
Closing time for the newly announced iPhone auction is slated for July 11th, presumably so they actually have one to sell you. If you plan on joining this lunacy, here's the registration page.
