A fun quiz anyone?

Just came across this neat quiz for those who are geared towards computers.

I scored 10/10. Not bad.

Alive and well in Boulder, Colorado

By Stormblade - Posted on 05 December 2007

So, I am here for my first day of work. I got in late Monday and used yesterday to do things like get a bank account and a SIM card for my Treo. Neither of these things were easy. I had nice people helping me, but the computer systems in both places had real issues with a Canadian wanting their services. So the nice people had to lie to their computer systems to get me what I wanted. At least they did it. Apparently there is a new town in Colorado called Kars. Can't imagine why. Read more

You do not know pride until you see your 27 month old son hold up a action figure in dark green MJOLNIR armor and declare clearly "Master Chief!"

That's my boy! Although we do have to work on his Banshee piloting skills.

Heroes ... season finale ... Powerless?

By Noir - Posted on 04 December 2007

Well this is just going to be a prediction (and by predictions I mean my wishlist) of what I hope will happen in this season finale episode.

1) I hope Sylvar dies ... again.
2) I hope CopyCat either does one of two things. First gets killed, or second, goes drunken master on those thugs asses.
3) Going back to point 1) I hope Sylar kills Maya before he himself dies.
4) Molly Walker gets someone to build her Cerebro.
5) Elle and Claire mudwrestling of course.
6) Oh oh oh, almost forgot. West must also die, a horrible horrible death (flies into a jet engine perhaps?) Read more

There's still time

By Coxxorz - Posted on 04 December 2007

For those of you who haven't yet decided what to get me for Christmas, may I suggest this little Xbox 360 Accessory Kit? It's on sale for $119 (that's $65 off) TODAY ONLY during Dell's Days of Deals. Includes an Xbox Live Vision camera, keyboard thingy that connects to your controller, 12 month Live Gold card, and 2800 Microsoft points.

If you've already bought me one of the above, then you can still get me a points card to go with it.

Mass Effect has been weighing on me

By Blackwalt - Posted on 04 December 2007

I know Mass Effect is an RPG and that I don't normally play RPGs.

But this one is weighing on me. It's reviewing well (very). Its SciFi based story is extremely well written and everywhere I turn its being written of or spoke of. Read more

Hello Lincoln, Nebraska!!!!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 03 December 2007

I know that personally Lincoln, Nebraska means nothing to me. Until yesterday that is. Stormblade left a phone message yesterday from Lincoln, Nebraska. Although, to be accurate, Lincoln, Nebraska didn't mean anything to me until today, when I actually listened to the message. Read more

So. It's a good thing I kicked my MUA addiction

Because one of you fracking bastards stole my copy!!!

I know this because Rolly likes to walk around with my copy saying Spiderman over and over again.

Now Occam's razor is paraphrased as All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best which to me would mean that Rolly just put it down somewhere and I haven't found it yet. Read more

Well it's time to once again dwell in the land of make believe between reality and XBOX360. Where should I venture.

I decided to try out one of the more highly rated games on this site and try Rainbox 6 - Vegas, and where better to get the lines between reality and a video game mixed up. Vegas itself.

So I'm on my way to Vegas, or at least I'm supposed to be. I just checked in and my flight was delayed by an hour because of, well I presume because of Ice or snow.

Ironically I seem to be my own worst enemy. Read more

Of course, he is ignoring the successful hour of play before we broke for supper.

We stuck with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the entire evening and enjoyed watching Stormblade improve and Q-Bert get worse over the entire evening. Read more

Attention Points Whores

By Coxxorz - Posted on 29 November 2007

At Shoppers Drug Mart on Saturday December 1, spend $50 and you will receive 20x the Shoppers Optimum Points if you sign up for the event here.

If that doesn't grab you, how about these little babies? Need to renew your Xbox Live subscription soon? Why not buy a gold card at Shoppers and earn Optimum points on it! Going to play the new Halo 3 maps that are coming in December? You'll need points for that, and Shoppers sells those now too. Not sure if you'll get 20x points on those (phone and gift cards don't work), but you'll at least get the regular Optimum points if you buy it along with something else.

This week on Bargain Corner, we have the ultimate in gaming audio goodness: the Logitech Z-5500 speaker system. Some of you may be familiar with Snuffy D's and even my own heart-stopping Z-560 THX-rated computer speaker systems. This is that system's big brother.

This bad boy ups the ante from 400 watts to a ridiculous (for a computer speaker) 500 watts nominal power output. The subwoofer gets an upgrade from 8" to a massive 10". Speakers also increase, this time in number: the z5500 is a true 5.1 speaker system, meaning it has a proper center channel. Add a nice optical toslink input, fancy LCD control pod and a wireless remote, and you've got the makings of something beautiful in your private gaming dugout.

But the best part is the price. While most stores sell these for $500, Dell has the Z-5500 on sale until the end of the month for just Read more
