Waiting for Dell

By Ice - Posted on 07 November 2007

So I ordered from Dell on Coxxors advice (and to be honest he thought he was helping) the following:

'Xbox 360 Console Bundle with Halo 3, Forza 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and HDMI Cable'

Sounds like everything I need to get right in and start getting killed by evil villans. Well I do need one more thing. Dell to actually have what they sold me. I quote:

'Estimated Ship Date: 11/08/2007
Currently one or more items are not available. Every effort is being made to complete your order.' Read more

My name is Blackwalt and I have a problem

By Blackwalt - Posted on 05 November 2007

Other than you guys.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is coming out in the next couple of days. Rated 10 of 10 in OXM's December issue (which arrived in October, go figure). They rave about COD4 for six full pages, both single player and multi player.

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare reinvents a franchise — and damn near perfects the military shooter in the process."

And yet all I want to play is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Darn you, you little ultimate superheroes! Get your hooks off of me and let me go... Read more

HOC in the field

I was reading this article and came accross a certain quote that stands out like a sore thumb on page 3. I'll let you guys find it. 10 points to the first person who does.

My Eyes!!! My Eyes!!!

Ultraviolet

Blackwalt is a good friend, but sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. Take for instance his propensity for finding obscure, really bad science fiction and fantasy series and buying me the second in the series, knowing full well that I will feel obliged to read it. He also knows I will be unable to find the other books in the series, even if I wanted them. As I have mentioned in my blog in the past, this has happened more than once. Read more

Banished to the Big Smoke ... Without my XBox 360!!

By Stormblade - Posted on 29 October 2007

Yes I am stuck in Toronto for the week. Really, what could be worse? Yes, I don't have my XBox.

So, what to do. Hmm, well I could watch the Leafs ... of course that's kind of like sticking a knife in my eye and twisting it around. Hey! that sounds like fun! Better than watching the Leafs.

I brought Thraxas with me, but I've already read it three times. Got a couple of movies ...

Sheesh, I'm bored already and I haven't even checked into the hotel!!

Note on Magazine oddities

I have two magazines that I read regularly. I subscribe to both.

OXM: the Official Xbox Magazine and PCGamer.

Just a quick comment about the impact of Halo 3 on magazine production. Read more

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Third Dog Night

By Blackwalt - Posted on 25 October 2007

Making natural hazards look good

So Stormblade(Colossus) and I (Spiderman) entered into Atlantis last night to save Namor, accompanied by AI Invisible Woman and Captain America.

It did not go well. Read more

Mysterio not so Galactic after all

By Blackwalt - Posted on 24 October 2007

So Coxxorz (Deadpool) and I (Captain America) went into Marvel Ultimate Alliance once again last night and discovered that Mysterio wasn't the second coming of Galactus. We also saved the world's mutant population, a large Dam, a five storey mobile lab and discovered that M.O.D.O.K. is a sore loser at Trivial Pursuit. I think it was the two AI characters that made us so effective: Luke Cage and Human Torch. Read more

I think I'll be safe here.

By Half-pint - Posted on 24 October 2007

The pressure of running Herd of Cats is getting to me.

I think I'll hide here for a while. I don't think anyone will find me here.

I feel safe here for some reason.

Heroes: Fight or Flight

By Q-Bert - Posted on 23 October 2007

Wait! Can you hear that ??

It's the sweet absence of Sylar. Isn't that awesome ?

I am not sure I could have sat through another filler episode. So it's good news that this one actually had content. Read more

New Evil Empire - Best Buy

By Ice - Posted on 22 October 2007

Ok so maybe Evil Empire is overkill, but I am beginning to hate them more then normal. It seems like everyone has a "Must Scam Ice" concept, Best Buy being the most recent.
